Yeah, and it should be easy. All they need to do with Wonder Woman is cut that stupid post-credits scene from future re-releases. It wasn't even in the original cut anyway. Batman himself doesn't appear, so he can be recasted, and the opening and closing scenes that reference Bruce Wane can still work.
I know I know rumor and all that (probably baseless too), but do these people fucking learn? How stupid can these people be? I know Steel is a thing, but you know that is not the character they are going to use.
Best of luck to Cavill on all his future projects, I genuinely like him as an actor.
Can we just have not-super-hero films back?
There's high quality movies other than superhero films produced every year, you just actually have to look for them.
Cavill suffered from what Hayden Christensen suffered through in the SW prequels; good acting record ruined by shitty scripts and poor direction. My initial thoughts of his Superman was that MoS had some decent "Superman" traits that lends Henry's credibility, but it gets raked across the coals by Snyder's "grimdark" vision of the iconic boy scout of DC. It really does suck because he does look a bit like Reeves from the old Superman films.
The good take out of this is now Cavill will go on to do possibly better films without being tied down by the superhero craze, despite his initial eagerness to play Supes.
Just fucking dump everything and go off of Wonder Woman as the base.
I know, but i miss them being the center of conversation, I love me some MCU, but damn. Member "The Game"?
but aquaman has been waiting his turn since like 2012
Affleck was confirmed not to be involved in the Batman film
Well he also locked down The Witcher on Netflix. But, with the way that showrunner is handling this, and the casting around Ciri, I think he might be damned to some more bad script work.
His acting was not at par in the Justice Leauge movie. He was killing it instantly.
that movie was kind of a trainwreck though.
it also may or may not have been because of the mustache

Affleck is also apparently leaving.
This is apparently a kryptic response by the man himself.
Henry Cavill on Instagram
Some sources say that the rumor is fake and Cavill's here to stay on the other hand. Personally i think he was a fine actor that would've made a good Superman with a more clear direction from the filmaker (and well, less shitty movies in general). My biggest gripe is that Snyder loves to treat Superman as if he were some sort of new Jesus (not only in the way he writes the character, there are some obvious visual references in all the movies). The biggest issue is that while Superman isn't human, he sure did live his life as one, he was raised by humans and lived among humans, why should he constantly act as the mighty protector of earth as if he was above everyone else?
I was going to dispute you but I sort of get your point:
Superhero or not, massive tent-pole movies with stupid high budgets result in less films and what we do get is less risky and less creative. I'm not complaining about heroes being too prolific, I really enjoyed Solo and Mission Impossible to name a few massive movies. Just this year though, Hereditary was great, Isle of Dogs too. I think the bigger deal is just distribution of the money in the film industry wherein we get small amounts of massive projects rather than larger amounts of smaller projects.

with the existence of things like One Punch Man and Watchmen its very hard to make a superman that doesn't become either parody or satire.
ben affleck leaving now isn't really surprising. guy's got bigger problems to deal with, namely sobriety.
It’s largely been speculated that the disappointing reviews and returns on BvS caused Affleck to drop out of directing The Batman and start drinking again after being sober for years.
