For under a fiver it's a bargain really
Here: Discord Its pretty active, just in a slump due to the wait for V.
Had an interest in 1 when the first trailer appeared just for seeing a big AAA FPS tackle WWI instead of the usual modern/sci-fi settings, but never got round to buying it before. But for this price it's a steal.
Bought it, it's pretty fun. Unfortunately playing on the (imo) most fun 64 player servers is not as pleasant as it could be for me. My i5-4590 is bottlenecking me harddd. Oh well, guess it's still playable.
With 1 and V avoid DX12 entirely. Its a massive performance sink even for extremely high end rigs.
I know, I tried DX12 in the open beta too hoping it would have been fixed there. Nope, still the same crap, perhaps even worse.
I have the same CPU. Performance at release was great but last year they did a big netcode overhaul that hit quad cores and i5's in particular hard.
Well I'll be damned if that isn't some luck. I'd love to get a Ryzen but I don't have the money to buy one, let alone the new mobo i'd have to get.
If you just wanna do the single player, I think Origin has this free psuedo-demo-mode where you get the game for a little while to try out. Just do that, the single-player is completable in just a few hours.
Its a free trial that lasts 10 hours
You can beat the game twice in that amount of time
Downloading BF5 and all the DLC at a whopping 2mb/s with my mobile connection, here we come whooo--!!
Absolutely doable, I beat everything but the fucking plane story in about five hours. The fucking plane story I can't beat, 'cause the plane controls are godawful.
Yeah, that is fine but I bought it anyhow, I may be cheapskate but not to that level, I can spare a fiver.
must be a nice view you're having on your high horse
yeah everyone here loves chanting about how bad EA are but sure as hell are willing to pay up of the price is right. some integrity.
yeah, talking down to people doesn't make you look like a tool or anything
Screw it, bit the bullet. I've got enough in my cash buffer to take a little out. Got the $5 version here as well this month's Humble Monthly, because it comes with Overwatch and I'm not gonna turn down Overwatch for $11.
Really? The plane controls in the campaign felt so refined compared to the multiplayer controls
Might as well. I finally have a powerful enough PC to run it. And if I like it, I'm sure there will be plenty of players for the time being - especially considering that Battlefield V is looking to seriously underperform.
Battlefield plane controls are just so fuckin' floaty I can't deal with them.
