Welcome to the United States, how may I screw you over?
More like, welcome to inevitable societal collapse if shit doesn't change.
perhaps "barely had an effect" was an exaggeration, but i still think that the email leaks weren't that big of a piece in the disaster puzzle. that the democrats decided to run a candidate for president that was already hot off the heels of a scandal, regardless of what you think of that scandal, was a dumbass move. there were a significant amount of people who thought she was slimy befor along with that, as you mentioned democrat turnout was less, Clinton didn't fire up people in the places that mattered the same way as Trump did.
i guess i just personally see the failings of the democrat party as being something more important to focus on as it is something that can be changed and worked on for the future.

Why do you keep coming back to Clinton? I'm not talking about the fucking Clinton emails I'm talking about the fact that Wikileaks has at least on one occasion been supplied with leaks from the Russian government and refused to publish them. I'm talking about the fact that they run interference for another politician (which is, interestingly enough, supported by the Russians) and claim that shit that gets leaked about him is "A POLITICAL PLOT BY THE DEMOCRATS TO DESTABILIZE THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION!" I am angry because Wikileaks has shown that they are in support of a current executive administration for reasons which seem to be related to them buddying up with a hostile foreign power. Wikileaks is no longer a transparency organization, they are a Russian government mouthpiece in all but name.
I don't give a rat's ass about whether they leaked Clinton's emails, I give a rat's ass about the fact that they cannot be trusted to leak anything but whatever their current masters seem to think is convenient.
I get that ya'll hate Clinton, I fucking hate the flaccid, sandy cunt too, but if you think that an obvious Russian-government propaganda tool is somehow trustworthy because they were mean to old lizard-bitch Clinton, well I've got some really nice fish to sell you that probably isn't laced with neurotoxin.
What does Assange stand for now? Legit question.
Probably for whatever doesn't get him poisoned by Russia or drone-struck by the US.
I think now he is just in the spotlight mode trying to make himself sound more dangerous/knowledgeable than he is to avoid having the world at his throat. The problem for me is more that he abused what he had with Wikileaks and used it to influence instead of inform.
