• The world has barely 10 years to get climate change under control

As someone who has also and still do suffer from depression, using that as a crutch to exclude yourself from responsibility is fucking stupid. I'm happy if you say you just don't care about climate change (or Human Abyss in this case) Just don't bring up depression as a way to deflect the heat you absolutely deserve for not at least taking baby steps in the right direction. Fuck that guy.
I swear you don't even read lol
Made a small edit.
I do my part, and you don't know fuck-all about me, or what I do so to act like you're superior is literally childish.
An issue that we haven't discussed yet is the historically proven tendency for a civilization to tend towards hedonism, rather than austerity, in the face of impending collapse.
>Yeah, we can push the cursor to the left, but the only people who are going to be enjoying that world at any level, are the ones who destroyed this one. Oh cool, I'll have a subsistent existance if any at all, I guess we're supposed to be happy about a lot of those types of "Small victories" but as I stated, I already struggle with depression and we're looking down the barrel of a world where none of that matters, and to get to a "less than terrible" one, we all have to sacrifice lots, but the richest around the world aren't going to. The worlds economy at large is taking gigantic steps to reduce carbon emissions and fight this thing. The amount of money companies are investing into reducing their carbon footprint and entire national infrastructures are switching to greener sources. While they've done this, the general civilian population are still sitting back complaining that the world isn't doing enough while forking mass produced steak into their mouths. Talking like this furthers that apathetic attitude and it should be addressed.
Not nearly the whole picture. If you only deal in half the information, SURE! But that's quantatively bullshit. China is creating more coal plants than anticipated, at quite the pace. Major international companies who still contribute massive amounts to the global issue aren't really changing as fast, or as strongly as you are claiming they are right here. They're just fucking not. Great, but then you took a shot at me out of your own inability to read, or your inability to parse context and nuance. I am not one of the "General civilian population forking steak into my mouth" so responding to me as if I was one for whatever reason you think you have, is stupid.
It does matter, it just may not look like it at your individual scale. Collectively, people who make the conscious choice of limiting their footprint have a non-negligible impact on climate change, even if it's not currently sufficient to keep it below reasonable levels. At the end of the day, keep in mind that what you're doing is saving lives, even if it's 1/4 of a life per person or whatever. It's not worth giving your own life for, but it's certainly not pointless.
Stop shaaaking Imm trying to stype.
