Ubisoft Creative Officer Serge Hascoet- games industry needs to find its soul

Been playing ubi games on PC since Rogue Spear. Yea, the ports in the mid 10s sucked and I quit playing Splinter Cell games because they stopped being Splinter Cell games. The DRM sucked but there wasnt a AAA company on the planet with good DRM in that era. Even Steam was a huge piece of shit, software wise, at that time and its still super janky.
That doesnt stop modern Ubisoft from being a good company who makes good games. Quit bein a crybaby becauses Ubisoft optimizes their games for their largest markets. AC sucks on PC because its not meant to be played on a PC. RS6 sucks on Xbawks because its not meant to be played on an Xbawks.
If this is the opinion youve gained after a decade, change industries. Your outlook is cynical and dumb.
That is fertilizer level rich coming from you particularly. I'm not obligated to like the things you like ever, in any form. I'm also not olbigated to project company koolaid on personal venues. You continuing to allow companies to not only gouge you out of playment beyond product quality is entirely on you, as is stockhom syndrome to allow the compnay to change those metrics year by year ever more in their total favor before and after initial and continuing sale.
You're pretty much like a mid-tier musical act content to let streaming services pay on hunredths to thousandths of pennies on the dollar 'cause that's how it is'.
I dont care what you recognize or what you do or dont like. My point is that, currently, Ubisoft is a respectable company that produces quality contents at regular intervals. At this point youre outright denying reality because youre butthurt over god knows what.
Me paying $30 a year to continue to enjoy a game I paid $60 for is not unreasonable. The model of continual subscriptions is not new to gaming (ever heard of MMORPG's before?) and in this instance its not even necessary to pay for the subscription, literally all of the content is available for free. So how is that any different than you buying expansion packs in the ~old days~? It seems like you enjoyed taking advantage of a fledgling industry and youre tooter ticked you cant do that anymore. So again, if your outlook on the industry after 10 years is just a diatribe of shit, change industries. Youre having a negative impact on it.
Btw,
Who are you?
Ironic considering Ubisoft's last games that had soul were Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 & SIlent Hunter 3.
Ubisoft can eat a dick. Brothers in Arms 4 when????
ubisoft is the microsoft/xbox of the videogame industry. they had a recent bout of awfulness but are working their way up to improvign beyond their competitors.
there are still some monumentally poorly handled things theyve been doing (like announcing that that switch ski game was canceled as a twitter reply lul) and the assassins creed debacle but I think theyll become even better over time
