uh, every game does that. It's what you're supposed to do. Call of duty uses bc1 bc5 bc7 compression like every other modern game most likely.
Not entirely correct. They ended up delaying the game. Neither the second or third games were complete, and had to print the game to disc.
Basically most day one patches are this, changes to the game made during the time between print and release
I find it hard to believe that the compressed you're thinking of is the same as what I'm thinking of, otherwise the size would be A LOT smaller if they actually did it properly.
They most certainly do compress all of their textures. They just have a ton of unique textures in the game which increases the file size a lot.
If you don't have at least 1tb SSD you're in the wrong just saying.
To put that into perspective, you probably cannot even fit that onto a BDXL disc (about 100GB). Just one game. What the fuck.
