• James Gunn to write and possibly direct Suicide Squad 2

This is the one thing I will agree on to an extent, apart from the fact that I thought of Drax's non joke material in the sequel was better than in the first (the exchange with Star Lord about elders and being wise that Lindsay Ellis touched on in her video was particularly good). But I feel James Gunn made up for that with the jokes in Infinity War, which singlehandedly made him one of the standout characters amongst such a gargantuan cast. I will grant that It is quite possible that Gunn's biggest weakness as a standalone writer is humor - when he's paired with someone else, we only see his A material. So at worst, we can probably expect Suicide Squad 2 to have at least a few jokes that don't land. But that's a big improvement over the first movie, which completely failed at humor in its entirety, along with everything else. I certainly don't expect the new movie to suffer from a dearth of interesting characters and themes, feature an incredibly dull color palette and mindnumbingly boring action, or lack a cohesive plot or character motivations that make any damn sense, because neither Guardians film had any issues like that.
Well, it's not like the first one set the bar especially high. Will Smith and Margot Robbie were literally the only good things to come out of it, so... bully for WB and DC, I guess.
