That's one thing I don't like about our political system, if you don't toe the party line you just get ousted.
Eh, that's more a problem with politics in general everywhere it seems. These days politics is a win or lose game and all that matters is beating the other side, doesn't matter in the populace benefits or is harmed. I ain't gonna sugar coat it when I say that I hate right leaning political parties. They come off as self-serving and hateful; at least with left leaning parties it feels like they have a heart even if what they do is sometimes stupid as fuck. Anyway, enough about how conservatives are terrible. What are people's thoughts on this: https://globalnews.ca/news/4571706/overturning-cannabis-convictions/ I see the argument for only doing pardons but think it's only fair for them to be completely expunged.

Hardly surprising. Like I said a couple posts earlier, the store I went to only had like 10 varieties left and only in certain quantities. For example they only had one variety of pre-rolled cannabis left and only in 1g packages, Treasure Island I think it was called. Expect it to be like this for the next couple of weeks at least.
Re-criminalize weed and you're gonna hear about a BC separatist movement, Scheer. Supply shortages were predicted. There are only so many licensed producers and quality control is stringent, and plants only grow so fast.
https://globalnews.ca/news/4579467/alberta-cannabis-postal-delivery-mail-canada-post-strike/ Feels like they strike every year. Good thing the AGLC had the forethought to not use only one carrier.
Scheer clarifies that no, a Conservative government would not re
I don't believe them, it's as simple as that. Of course, even if they tried it'd be really fucking hard for them to do it but that doesn't mean they couldn't try.
What I need to know is what he means by "Adjusting the rules". He could easily keep cannabis legal, but nearly inaccessible with some "adjustments to the rules".
Given what he supposedly said, the most likely thing is either banning home cultivation or reducing the plant allowance, and perhaps not phasing-in edibles, though I think that one's supposed to happen before the election so if it does they'll probably leave it alone.
As someone who wants to vote for parties other than the NDP, or Liberals, this is not the way to win my vote so it's looking like they're just going to shoot themselves in the foot on this issue over ideological squabbling.
I mean it's still just speculation until the platform is released next year, but that seems like the most likely thing because Quebec and Manitoba don't like home growing.
It's a tad overpriced and I dislike how they handled some parts of it, but having hippies just smoking joints on street corners makes me feel all warm inside.
I wonder what this means for dealers and how it will affect them. I assume there at least were some before.
I don't think they'll be affected by much for now. I think if the legal cannabis were cheaper across the board without any shortages then they'd be shitting their pants, however that's not the case. People under the age limit will probably still want to get some cannabis, dealers probably still offer better prices, and the dealers have been dealing for a long time by now so they've got their supply/demand issues sorted out.
When I visited Premium Four20 with my sister she spent to whole time complaining about how expensive everything was. About the only thing she thought was worth the price was the branded grinder I bought. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I mean, yeah, that's what happens when you drag pricing out of the black market and out into the open, where you have the overhead costs of running a legit business and paying employees and covering their overhead (benefits, etc.) in both the supply chain and the retail outlet, and you also have to pay federal and provincial sales tax. The prices were expected to rise above black market rates. However, there definitely seems to be some crazy pricing disparity between the provinces, with somewhere in the Maritimes charging $15/gram where the BC price was like $11 and change. The legit market can't be too overpriced over the black market or else consumers will largely opt to skip it, so hopefully things adjust themselves in the coming months. If the legal supply chain doesn't completely run out of weed for several months straight first.
15 for the good stuff here in nova scotia it gets cheaper as you go down in quality I heard as cheap as $6 but haven't been down to see myself
Cheapest in Ontario opening hour was $7.50/gram, but that sold out right quick and I think the cheapest now is around $9. I have no idea what the black market rates are/were.
what the fuck that like opening a bag of chips the Edibles I bought a few months ago up in Oregon can with more then i payed for they didn't taste very good and you didn't get high on TBH
Apparently England is a big producer of marijuana, guess they now have a new way to stay afloat after Brexit.
They're selling out of shit at the NSLC as soon as they get it. They don't even know the strains until the truck gets there sometimes. It's INSANE how much of a draw it has.
All those tax dollars and euros that countries keeping it illegal are losing is quite incredible.
