• Because of Anti-Vaxxers, 37 People in Europe Have Died of Measles This Year

You're cool. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't really matter how you say it, as long as you make it clear that you're sincere. I'm completely aware of how hard it was for my parents to put up with all of my bullshit. You can't just suddenly start being mature if your on the spectrum. It's a learning process that takes a long while, and if you don't have people supporting you the whole way, then sadly you're likely to end up like poor Chris Chan. Nevertheless, my parents would undoubtedly agree that all their effort was more worth it, because I'm at the point now where most people who meet me for the first time have no idea I'm even on the spectrum. (I have no lack of social ability these days, among many other positive improvements) And you are completely right that the anti-vax scene is driven by people's desperation in response to the difficulties of raising autism spectrum children, just as basically every conspiracy movement is ultimately driven by emotion. That is also why Autism Speaks, the ostensibly number one charity supporting people with Autism, is in fact so fucking dangerous and has been rejected by virtually every person who is actually on the spectrum. Because they're not motivated primarily by a desire to help people like me, but to help the parents cope with the how fucking terrible they make people like me out to be. That's why almost all of their money goes not to actually helping existing autism spectrum kids or their families, but solely to trying to find a cure for autism (AKA a genetic test so they can start aborting fetuses with autism as efficiently as they currently abort fetuses with Down Syndrome).
That whole anit-vaxx thing one of the conspiracy shits that has the government vs. people taste. Many people, especially those you would call "simple minded"/uneducated, nowadays like to think that life is like those action movies with that shitty "evil" government plot. However these movies plots often makes more scene than this autisim-giving-vaxx shit as the "evil government" would actual gain something. Apparently these people think that the government is suppressing "the fakt" that vaxxes are giving autism, because the government what's autism to rise. In their view autism is rendering their kits to a 100% cripples, a 100% of the time, making it worse then death by measles. In this case I would ask this: Even if it was true, why would the government do it? What would they gain from this? Rendering a would be part of the future workforce (maybe even military ('cause 'Murica, you know...)) unable to function or participate, would be like shooting in your own leg in my book. And jesus don't get me started on these MMS and bleach shit going on. These conspiracy theories are by far the most hostile to autism or the autistic spectrum stuff I have seen, yet.
Im all for vaccines for measles and polio and deadly shit like that, but the fact that many places heavily encourage and sometimes require influenza vaccines is total bullshit. The flu shot is only between 10 and 60 percent effective at best, and can still get you sick even if they guess the strains right for that year. I filled out a religious declination form at my job so i dont have to take it this year. I never even got the flu until i started getting the shots.
The flu vaccine cannot get you sick. They don't even use attenuated viruses for the vaccine. The proteins and dead viruses you're getting are simply not able to infect anything. Your perceived correlation here is completely in your own head.
honestly bringing autism up in a vax discussion is just being baited into their delusional way of thinking The best response is to tell these people to just fuck off and that they're a danger to society
But vaccines don't cause autism you dense motherfucker
