• Diablo: Immortal coming to mobile as a ‘full-fledged’ action RPG

And the best part is, they jumped the gun assuming that there was any care put into this mobile Diablo at all. Nope, it's an outsourced clone of a shitty asian game with reused Diablo 3 assets, made solely because it's quick, easy money.
Totally not a skeleton king boss cutscene from a mobile game developed by NetEase. https://i.imgur.com/uI70Yav.mp4
I mean, come on, I know everybody's upset but being super disrespectful is still kind of a dick move. (admitted I did chuckle at the off-season april fools burn) Just shake your head and walk away. Both sides, really.
I'd say that the side that's being sexist should fuck right off but that's just me.
Blizzard hyped up the community for big Diablo announcement, and then they served them an outsourced Chinese mobile game. It's like getting promised a dinner at a chique, expensive restaurant where you have to pay a fee just to get in, and when you arrive there you get handed a menu card that's just a single sheet of recycled paper with in Comic Sans MS a bunch of garbage fastfood items written on them.
I know what you mean, but I guarantee you at least half the people in that collage would say that you can't be sexist to men, because "sexism = prejudice + power."
I like the Twitter people saying it's gamers being racist towards Chinese people when this version of Diablo is missing the black character in a blatant attempt to cater to the Chinese market, a country where if you're not Han-Chinese you will be treated like shit.
And the worst part is it's the company that made a Diablo knockoff
I think the idea is that this company would just keep shitting out Blizzard knockoffs in China so why not make a partnership with them and reap some profit through it instead.
If Blizzard came out and straight up said that I'd respect them, honestly. But they're just shoveling it and being disingenuous about it instead
They've literally been hyping up this announcement for ages, the only caveat was that they said it wasn't going to be "Diablo 4". People paid money to be there, upwards of $200 to be there, to be in person while their 'big announcement' turns into a microtransaction filled reskin of a Chinese mobile ripoff. Yes people have every right to be upset. THEY ALSO CLOSED THE OPENING CEREMONIES WITH A FUCKING MOBILE GAME
Oh. Okay fuck 'em.
How many more times can a game get announced and have the entire crowd audibly react with disdain? I swear it's happened a few times recently. If it keeps going we might see our first Gamers Rise Up Riot.
At the end of the day these big publishers are corporations that want to make money. This game will likely make a lot of money. The shareholders don't really care if the hardcore fanbase get upset. This is how new dev teams form, to make the games "real gamers" actually want.
Looking at the I'm expecting to see the 'Skip Ad' button of the bottom right.
I fucking hate the internet. You aren't allowed to dislike this because I am being paid to give this shit good reviews you're a racist, and the hot-oil political climate means the brain-dead drones will swarm behind them because "hot damn he said those people are racist, who needs evidence I just WANNA BE ANGRY"
I mean, we could talk about how Diablo: Immortal is literally a re-branding of a pre-existing Chinese ripoff game that Activision Blizzard expects to profit from given almost no investment on their end and how that's... y'know, in bad taste and not really what people expect from Blizzard but no, the really important part is that it's a mobile game and only women play mobile games (of course, haha) and that means everyone who criticizes Diablo Mobile hates women. Some people should just quit their journalism jobs and shuffle crates in Amazon warehouses for the rest of their lives.
Really tired of these sheltered ancaps trying to make it about social issues due to them not getting the unwavering, robotic loyalty that they want. It's really offensive and downplays the issues they bring up. They just wanna look superior, they don't give a flying fuck about this drivel they're saying. It's also representative of Blizzard themselves. Now we know what kind of people hijacked the company.
I looked for a bit and I couldn't find any official videos showcasing the IV into M. I saw one clip of it but I'm 95% sure it was just a meme.
this was just a joke made by fans, it wasn't meant to be real but it basically did happen
D3 launch was a mess, but they fixed the game with RoS expasion and patches. But this mobile crap, i cant see how they can fix it. The fans dont want it, they cant improve the game because it is limited to mobile. On reddit the people who played it on blizzcon, said its basicly a simplified D3 with controls that dont feels good. I hope they are developing a d4 too, otherwise the franchise is pretty much dead.

https://www.polygon.com/blizzcon/2018/11/3/18059222/diablo-immortal-blizzard-response-blizzcon “We have said that we have multiple Diablo teams working on multiple Diablo projects and that remains true, even after releasing [Diablo 3 for Nintendo] Switch and announcing Diablo: Immortal,” Adham said. “We still have multiple Diablo teams working on multiple unannounced Diablo projects. Diablo is a tentpole franchise for us. And it always will be. We love it. We hope our fans understand what we’re saying when we say that.” “The world is evolving both geographically and demographically,” he said. “Younger folks now, many of them, mobile is their primary gaming device. And then around the world in many regions it’s their primary gaming device, and so it’s always been our aspiration [to bring games to them].
my favorite part is how they say "you can be critical without being an asshole", "if you think two diablo designers deserved to be belittled publicly you can go fuck yourself" people have been saying we want another main diablo game for years, on their forums, on reddit, literally every social platform thats blizzard/diablo related. and then they go and pull this shit off on us. is it really weird that some people might feel that being nice about it/constructive and shit has been pointless, since blizz obviously has paid 0 attention to anything online? and that Q&A was the PERFECT platform to tell blizz directly what we feel. i mean, it LEGIT felt like it was a fucking early april fools joke with how mind-blowingly retarded it was.
Basically "kids use mobile so we're trying to get some of that money".
I don't think it's that, the statement talks about geographic evolution, I think this is to get the Chinese market on lock. NetEase who made the clone and is working on this own the Overwatch League team Shanghai Dragons.
yeah plus they got rid of the one african class
An overwhelming amount of yikes
Hey Blizz, this one's for free. See how this year we had 3 other companies announce mobile games in popular franchises? You know what two of them did to lessen the blow? Announce actual games on console/PC along with them. Cmon this should be easy at this point.
I'm a pretty political person, so it always boils my piss to see corporate shills try and associate people who don't like a product with the ills of society. All you care about is money so fucckkkkk oooooofffffffff
