Somebody once told me that Shrek is being rebooted by the producer of "Minions"

Part of the problem is also that Illumination also has lower production qualities compared to other studios. As much as people shit on Dreamworks movies - myself included - at least they put in effort for the production qualities in regards to the CGI quality/art/etc, whereas the Illumination movies are more cheap and reminiscent of generic-brand quality.
Look, lets not forget one of his greatest works, Team America: World Police, which then allowed him to go on to score MGS 3.
Unpopular opinion, even as a kid, i fucking hated Shrek.
Also Shrek 1/2 and MGS 2/3's release dates are within a few months of each other. There's a very real possibility that he worked on one soundtrack, and then immediately moved on to the other.
Also that amazing mix of "Holding Out For A Hero" was a collab by Harry Gregson-Williams and Paul Oakenfold. Did not know that, and makes so much sense listening to it again.
Was kinda hoping we'd get an Extremely Goofy Movie type sequel where Shrek helps his kids move into college, only to realize that he never got a degree himself and proceeds to further his own education while engaging in Animal House-esque hi-jinks.
Either that or a film where Shrek's father comes to visit, resulting in him confronting the man that tried to eat him as a child. This would result in Shrek realizing that he has overcome the cycle of abuse inherent within ogre society, and in turn his own dad learns what it means to actually be a father. Also some crazy escapade involving Donkey and his freaky mutant babies.
so that's why it works so well over MGS2.
Xbox 360 custom soundtracks anyone?
If Shrek isn't keeping the orignal cast then I don't see the appeal unless you're a fan of the original book. It'll just be another animated movie otherwise.
"The move comes after the studio’s parent company, Comcast, bought DreamWorks Animation, the studio behind “Shrek,” in 2016 for $3.8 billion."
fucking cuntcast
Isn't the fifth movie of Shrek coming out in 2019?

First they lobby to repeal Net Neutrality, and now they give us a Shrek reboot from Illumination? Does Comcast's evil know no ends?!?

That there are so many people interested in remaking Shrek is incredibly disturbing to me.

Man, the animation in the first movie has not aged well at all.
So why not make fucking Shrek 5 then? Just give him a time machine instead if you want to force memes.
I'll shove a reBOOT up your ding'dly hole.
