Dubai is completely next level. I took this picture in 2015 (which only shows one small district of the city), and my friend who does business there told me none of those skyscrapers existed in 2005.

I agree though, for three or so days you feel like you are in a metropolis from 2050 (especially at night with the city lit up), then you run out of things to see fairly quickly.
Dubai is extremely interesting, but ultimately, shallow. Ah, if only that money was spent on better thing. Sigh.
