I give it a week. I can just see them getting pissy at this and spamming the work-safe boards with child porn or something, driving all the advertisers away anyway. Then with no remaining reason to keep them separate, it'll be re-merged.

Posting anything in /qa/ is a complete waste of time.

First of all, blue board traffic will sink terribly Second of all, the ad companies don't like 4chan not for the content and that, but by the fact that 99.99% users use adblock, no site name change will change it Third of all, the entire site is such a mess because the mods at /pol/ unironically do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do - any thread that is even mildly interesting/useful/sensible/quality gets deleted or moved, but blatant porn threads and trash/slide remains. Very rarely does some guy come and actually remove the garbage

They got scared off by all the posts that were glorifying violence and terrorism. Management let that problem fester for so long that even the least picky advertisers started pulling out.

Advertisers don't care whether or not its shitposting.
