Human's choosing to be vegan is fine and good but forcing a stricly carnivorous predator that you keep locked in your home to do it is fucking disgusting. I had a coworker who was vegan that did that and surprise, her cat became malnourished and sickly and she got pissed when the vet told her the exact same thing as I did.

Why not get a pet that doesn't require to eat meat.
if cats don't eat so much fat in a given time their liver shuts down and they die. That's what old cats do when they go off to die, they stop eating and they die.

I think my cat wants to be vegan or atleast just wants to eat people food. She'll barely touch her food but always tries to help herself if you're making a salad. She lets herself into the kitchen when shut out, it's got to the point where it's easier to chop a bit of cucumber up and let her have that

Our old cat was very much a carnivore.
Whenever a packet of raw liver was opened for cooking, even if the cat was upstairs it would go MRREOWW and run down to the kitchen as fast as it could to get some of that tasty bloody liver.
Try changing her food brand, mine is picky and I have to rotate between two or three food types.
Veganism by choice for humans is completely fine, but not giving your pet a proper diet according to its needs is simply animal abuse.
Personally I only feed my cat on soylent.
Cats need an amino acid called taurine, which promotes proper heart function. You can only find it in meat; there's no substitute.

I don't understand where people get off trying to make an animal literally built from the ground up for eating meat, and feed them soybeans or whatever it is in "vegan" cat food. Basic research will tell you that yes, they are carnivorous and need meat. You can even find exactly WHY they need meat specifically and can't just subsist on protein/soy supplements. Failing that, they're literally built for killing. you'll notice that cats have sharp, pointed teeth, this is to help in tearing chunks of flesh off of an either dead or soon-to-be dead animal. Not to mention their claws and the fact that they can leap easily 15 feet into the air to snatch birds mid-flight.
The only way I can see people doing this is if they've done literally no research. They just saw a picture on the internet of a cat nearly falling off a ledge and thought it'd be fuckin' hilarious to see that in person, and just buy a cat with no questions asked as to how to actually care for it.
