Konami Re-Trademarks 'Metal Gear' and 'Metal Gear Solid' in Europe

Am I the only person morbidly curious what a Metal Gear Sequel without Kojima would be like? Like how it would be? Would they try to emulate Kojima's style and (highly possibly) fail miserably or would they just make it generic
as fuck?
I think they'd try to play it safe and stick to MGS2 Tanker style.
Metal Gear Rising is already a Kojima-less Metal Gear and it's one of my favorites in the series.
Personally I think that Eidos Montreal would be a great candidate for making a Metal Gear game but they never will, of course.
I'd like to see more Metal Gear games in the vein of Revengence. Spin-offs with different gameplay from the main series made by different studios. If they try to just make another Kojima-like game it'll probably turn out shit.
Well MGR was made by PlatinumGames, who now works on the likes of Bayonetta and Nier: Automata. Needless to say if an MGR2 was happening they'd throw everything they had at it and it would be good.
companies renew their trademarks all the time, why is this even news.
also, there are plenty of kojima-less mg games that are great. ghost babel, acid 1 and 2, mgr.
