Lawyers Target Bethesda for Deceptive Trade Practice

I don't know if that's the same because in the post you quoted there's apparently a section specifically for defective products
Didn't the game on launch literally delete itself when you clicked the play button? I'd say that is the literal definition of "literally unplayable".
That would qualify, and that was stupid, but that was its not-really-a-beta beta and is now fixed.
Must have started happening after you refunded yours. I tried doing the same but wouldn't give me the refund with only 90 minutes of play time.
There's a bit of misunderstanding about the 56gb patch. The patch technically isn't that big and file sizes have shown the game is actually only 200 or so mb bigger. The reason the download was huge is that Bethesdas file system is piss poor so rather than just adding and replacing the patched files the whole game has to be replaced
Why is it so hard for all the dickhead companies to just make games so people can have fun and instead decide to mess with the very people who buy your game as much as you can?
You cant get away with all this shit on literally any other industry and its very much possible to make money without being an asshole
because gamers will buy any old shit.
Making your own shitty launcher and making your game exclusive to that launcher so you can get all of the profits? Fine, sure, whatever. It's basically becoming the norm for PC gaming because publishers see Fortnite making all this profit without having to take a 30% cut from Steam or Google, and they want in on that badly.
Making it impossible to get refunds on said launcher? Nah, fuck off.
Even fucking EA, the publisher who easily gets the most shit and has even won awards for being shit, offers refunds on Origin. Every major publisher who has their own launcher does, to my knowledge.
You don't get a free pass, Zenimax, especially when one of your core studios has been known for decades to push out massively buggy games and sometimes even making these games WORSE through patches.
God, imagine the outrage once Bethesda confirms DOOM Eternal to be exclusive to their launcher.
Bethesda, as far as I know, doesn't own the DOOM franchise, they only publish it. That decision would ultimately come down to Zenimax who, having seen the disastrous launch of 76, are very unlikely to risk losing such a significant amount of money by selling DOOM on Bethesda's platform.
Bethesda and Zenimax are one and the same essentially. Zenimax was created by one of Bethesda's founders even, mostly as a way to generate funds to finish Morrowind.
Also, the Bethesda name has become more than just the developer. They are also the main publishing branch, with Zenimax being the parent company. As such, any IPs that fall under Bethesda publishing are owned by Bethesda/Zenimax. This includes IPs like DOOM and Wolfenstein as of them buying out id Software.
As a result, it's fully possible that from Fallout 76 forward, all games published by Bethesda could be moved to be exclusive to their launcher. Fallout 76 flopping hard is definitely a deterrent, yes, but I'm sure the idea of getting all of the profits from PC releases of their games is a tantalizing one. All it needs is one good game to propel adoption of it, and DOOM Eternal could very well be that game.

yeah mate explain to me how i'm getting sub 60 fps on this game with my "outdated rig"
or just delete your post because it's wildly wrong
Hahahaha, no. It chugs hard even on my 1700 with a 1080, no modern game should be chugging on these specs.
Go actually do some research before wiping your ass with a post and showing it to everyone.
