I never said it was, I was replying that he's always been an asshole
You'd be surprised, it's far more likely the CS agent turned around to their team leader and said 'what we saying' and the team leader said 'I don't fuckin know just say we can't do anything' and that's literally as far as it got
Like now it's probably been fed up the ladder but every time I've witnessed a CS fuckup in a company I've worked in it's always started from something trivial like that
Well if it's anything like their QA team...yeah that's probably about right.
Was it knowingly? Maybe they just forgot they specified the material in the description.
Obviously everyone who ordered it thinking it was Canvas should be compensated with something other than the in-game digital funbucks, what the fuck are you doingl Bethesda.
For the uninitiated, 500 Atoms is US$4.99.
I thought the lead up to this game was embarassing, but everything after launch has really driven home how pathetic this whole stupid experiment is
Man how embarrassing, more than anything that's a slap in the face.
I really doubt it's that hard or expensive to source the manufacturing of something like this, and definitely would be worth it to win back SOME good faith in the people willing to shell out $200 for your brand.
Look what you can spend your 500 atoms on! What a steal!

Glad to see Bethesda's bullshit finally blow up in their face, they've been given a pass for selling bug filled games for more than a decade and the engine isn't at fault. There are plenty of gamebryo games that are nowhere near as buggy as Bethesda games, the problem lies with the developers.
it's a steal alright
Holy shit, the in-game store is a complete joke, I'd be surprised if anyone put money into it, let alone would be happy with receiving five dollars on it.
The people defending this game... I've never seen mass Stockholm syndrome like this before. Truly interesting.
it happens every time we have a trainwreck release like this
There are some people who really struggle dealing with massive amounts of dissapointment, so they simply pretend everything is fine and anything that denies it is twisted lies and entitled toxicity.
At least the people who dug their heels in with No Man's Sky eventually had a game whose issues got addressed, because the developers still gave something of a shit.
I can't see the same happening in this case.
Sounds a lot like them in regards to bugs in their games, too.
they're slowly fixing the most controversial bugs, but boy do they have a long road ahead of them
Doesn't matter if they fix it better than the NMS guys have fixed NMS, they've been fucking tainted by this dog-shit dumpster fire of a launch and no one will forget it.
Gonna go ahead and say the pip boy they made in the pipboy edition was a massive disappointment too
This is like watching a raging dumpsterfire spread to the rest of the landfill.
The silver lining to all of this is that Bethesda is hopefully going to remove their existing laissez-faire approach to quality assurance and customer support if their feet get held to the fire in the courtroom.
Or maybe nothing will change, in which case I can probably silence the idea of buying any more games from them for a long time.
Its a digital currency, its not bound to some in-game market so Bethesda is not even spending any extra money here.
So you aren't even getting any real value realistically.
iirc it's the same plastic they used for the FO4 one and is incredibly flimsy and breaks easily.
Yeah except what Bethesda is doing actually costs ZERO FUCKING DOLLARS. They could give you every item in the store for free, and it would still cost them nothing. The fact that they opted for the lowest amount you can buy (afaik) is just straight up gross.
Another point is that 500 atoms is easy to get in-game, the lowest amount you can get is 10.
So they're hilariously overpriced considering how easy they are to get ingame
