• Steam Is Banning Sex Games With Young-Looking Characters

This just in: Japanese adult game revenue on steam plummets
"They may look like they are 5 but they are actually 22 year olds so its 100% ok" is the worst argument to cover for this kind of things.
Some people feel the same way about violent video games.
See if its like, "They look 5 but are actually 22." but they also like hold down an adult job and do otherwise normal adult shit, then sure that's probably alright but weird. If you say, "They look 5 but are actually 22." yet they like, seem to be in primary school and live with their parents and everyone around them treats them like they're 5, then yeah you're bullshit.
I haven't really seen the excuse used outside of witches, succubuses and cats.
Personally I think loli and shota should not get someone jailed/be illegal*. Making it illegal does nothing to help prevent/combat human sex trafficking and the molestation/rape of minors. However, I can understand why Valve doesn't want to go through the PR and legal nightmare of allowing that sort of content on Steam (I say "legal" because loli and shota are banned/illegal in some countries) *The only exceptions to this are as follows: 1. Said NSFW drawing/3d render is based off of an actual minor. 2. Said NSFW drawing/3d render used pictures of actual minors as reference in its creation. and 3. Is so photo-realistic that it's indistinguishable from an actual IRL minor.
Just an incredibly weird concept to me that drawings can be illegal and lead to jailtime, because you'd never hear anything like this about violent art and or games, and then there's media which usually gets a pass and not a lot of people seem to question but most of us are already familiar with the hypocrisy around 'violent videogames' when most general mainstream shows revolve around some form of violence and guns. Regardless, it's pretty fair for Valve do decide whatever they want to do with Steam, though it really gives them a shit image that they keep going back and forth on what they allow, like there's no actual effort to decide any kind of guidelines for what content they want to sell.

Why do you feel the need to show your porn collection for?
No, its a thin veil for loli and shota porn so it can be sold as if it was standard garbage to make it seem less questionable, nothing more. BTW I'm not saying people should get jailed for marking and selling or consuming this kind of stuff, but i'd be great if people didn't try so hard to make up excuses for how it degenerate "because they are actually adults that just look like children" (specially when that is the whole thing that appeals to them).
how is killing realistic depictions of humans with realistic weapons and gore effects any less degenerate lol, shoot off a pixel civilian's legs and then roast them alive with a molotov while they scream=family fun, fuck a "1000" year old witch/dragon/succubus= scum?
I don't think a crime whose victim is a series of lines should actually be a crime, but I also don't see how anyone could've expected Valve to ever allow fucking loli on their platform.
I don't think anyone here is trying to argue for normalizing it, though I'd say it's dangerous to go down a path where you can arrest people for drawings and illustrations. It's a matter that should be addressed by a mental healthcare specialist, yeah. Just don't forget that with that line of thought most of us here are horrible psychopaths that need professional help for murdering virtual men in cold blood on a daily basis.
As with all loli bans im not really against it but what really counts as "young looking character"?
If this kind of subgenre is able to prevent these damaged individuals from going out snatching a real girl, that it is all worth it. You can demonize this subgenre all you want, if this reduces the demand of the production of real cp and maybe even stop physical assaults because they could satisfy their desires, however sick they may be, then that counts as a win in my book.
Hey remember that one dude named Jack Thompson? How everyone thought it was nuts that playing violent video games supposedly made you into a gibbering, schoomate shooting maniac? How many of you guys reading this right now, have killed virtual people and not become a school shooter?
i don't rly care what anyone does if it's legal in their country and doesn't hurt anyone in the process, but this content is pretty illegal in my country so having valve host it on steam is pretty uncomfortable.
If a person likes lolicon / shotacon content, does that by itself warrant a need for mental help? Or do you believe that it's a "gateway drug" to actual pedophilia?
The definition of pedophile is someone who is attracted to prepubescent children. If someone is attracted to that stuff they probably already were a pedophile.
It's not FP if there aren't posts with anime backgrounds defending pedophilia and users using mental gymnastics to explain how it's actually a good thing and benefits society. I'm actually surprised by the amount of winners this got, I guess I was wrong. Seems like this forum isn't entirely composed of degenerate dogfuckers and pedos. I think was just looking at the wrong places (notably the fast anime section) https://i.imgur.com/H5QC5Zi.png Ryugi, after reading your lengthy post about you wanting to change and actually be a functional human being, I really thought you changed and weren't a complete degenrate and felt sorry for you. I'm not sure what you're future employers will think if they knew you defend pedophilia.
I for one am not surprised that Japan's population is declining when the ideal woman of so many otakus is a twelve year old girl, who's mental age is six, and who has double D breasts and a black hole where her vagina is supposed to be.
Imagine being such a punk-ass bitch that you can't even do a callout without making an alt
It's not far off to want people who actively say they want to fuck children to get off your platform But also this is Steam and just a few months ago they said "as long as its not illegal we don't care" and for 2D drawings it's still a legal grey area in a lot of places.
That probably is not lolicon.
The problem I have with this ban is mainly that it's kind of impossible to enforce. Where is the line? How do you define what looks "too young" when it comes to stylized drawings? Obviously I can slap together a side-by-side image of some obviously 6 year old girl and some fully adult milf and say "LOOKS PRETTY CLEAR TO ME," but in between there's a ton of middle ground with a not-insignificant band that any reasonable person would have a hard time categorizing. Then again in general I'm of the opinion that if no real children were victimized or exploited in the creation then it shouldn't be illegal but maybe I'm actually brainwashed by pedophilia propaganda
There are literally drawing guidelines on human proportions concerning stages of age. As for my stance regarding this, I can draw the connection between loli and violence media consumption. This'll be a long fight, when the time comes.
"Rogue employee at Valve" is the hero we need in these dark times.
Difference is that in your latest cock o dooty there's some gameplay involved, whereas your latest loli VN sex simulator's idea of gameplay is social conundrums so easy that they can be navigated successfully by, well, people that play loli VN sex simulators. One handed, even. And well, there's this thing called "societal norms", and wanting to fuck kids is, you know, pretty taboo. Really, sexuality in general is taboo, and I can assure you that if the latest CoD included an option to have sex with the corpses of the people you just shot, people would probably find that pretty fucked up too.
NEKOPARA Vol. 2
It's always interesting to see how polarized this whole issue is. You've got people who are very vocally against it, loud enough to make it seem substantially widespread and frowned upon, but at the same time that content is still so incredibly sought after and clearly has a lucrative market and demand around it. So much so that when things like this happens you've got more than enough folks being vocal about not liking it. The whole 'attraction to someone younger/petite' thing - whether it be within still 'acceptable' boundaries or not - feels like an elephant in the room thing for humanity in general. If - hypothetically you got the numbers for how many people on this planet are into this kind of thing at one level or another - I bet it'd actually be kind of scary. But I don't know. Maybe I've just grown cynical.
