"in scenes that left her fellow commuters feeling decidedly awkward." It's a naked person, get over it.
I'm pretty sure it's less that and more that it's illegal and is also a sign that they're likely mentally unstable.
here in the civilized world, usually people dont start stripping naked on a fucken bus while talking shit to the driver
Yeah, I love being around insane crackheads, too.
this is going to be a post for the ages
everything about the situation was bothersome to the people on the bus much like how this post bothers me
Yeah you and almost everyone else who has posted in this thread thus far, whoopee do.
While this particular person is unstable and acting inappropriately, I honestly do not believe that public nudity is wrong, and I don't think it should be a crime. It's literally just the human body. We all got one.
I bet you're a goddamn roller-coaster of a person to talk to.
Oh sure, why don't you go talk to a likely mentally unstable person? You probably get shivved.
I have never in my life heard "whoopee doo", only "whoop-tee-doo" this better not be some brit thing
Are we sure the person who stripped naked is the mental person here? How do you draw a conclusion like that from someone getting naked? They got nude, they're not fucking pulling guns and shit and shooting the place up, it's someone removing their clothing, christ. How fucking judgemental can you get when someone does this, oh if they do this they're clearly fucking insane and need immediate help, did you ever think that maybe, they just don't give a fuck? Or is that what constitutes has being insane?
Everyone has an asshole, it doesn't mean I should be allowed to spread my cheeks and fart the national anthem in public. Some things should be kept private, for our own enjoyment.
What harm would it do if someone wants to go jogging in the nude though? It doesn't hurt anybody at all.
It would hurt my eyes when fifty seven year old jimmy goes on a jog through the neighborhood buck naked, man tits swinging to and fro, semi-erect penis flopping inbetween his asscrack and slapping the top of his crotchial region as he takes steps.

A perfectly normal human body makes your eyes hurt?
don't worry i agree with you buddy i'm going to get naked right now to prove our point
i'm naked right now
That sounds like a personal problem to me.
Unlike you, some of us appreciate cultural norms. You know, like wearing clothes. That's a good fundamental one there.
Just because something is natural doesn't mean its not gross (plenty of natural things that are gross) I don't fucken wanna see peoples disgusting bodies that they neglect and genitals hanging out, its gross and makes me (and most people) uncomfortable.
I do appreciate cultural norms. I especially appreciate that cultural norms have room for improvement and aren't immutable. So I see opportunity to improve them when possible.
I suppose you're right. After all I once got naked and ran around my university campus, so it would be hypocritical of me.
This logic can be used against what you're saying Like, how can we be sure that the spree-shooter is really insane? Are you sure he just doesn't give a fuck? Well we can only assume spree-shooters are insane and not just doing it for the laughs because murdering people generally goes against the common rules of society, and, y'know, being a decent human being. Similar in a few ways to stripping naked in the middle of a public space and ranting at people nearby. Basically, it's completely fair of us to assume this woman is crazy, why were you trying to make a thing out of this? People who pull out guns and shoot places up are crazy, people who expose themselves to unwilling participants while ranting at them are crazy. Crazy doesn't have to be violent!
Speak for yourself, I'm just a disembodied head. The only human body I have is the one I hid in my closet.
The evacuation makes sense because she was starting shit with the bus driver but there's literally nothing wrong with going out naked with no bad intention. Pretty much, it's all context.
The pro-nudity arguments always come off as completely nutty and detached from reality to me on so many levels. Wearing clothes is something we do for many reasons, only a few of which are social/cultural. We've been covering our bodies in random shit to keep warm and protected for more than a hundred thousand years. We aren't exactly equipped to handle living outside without any clothes on.
I don't understand why it matters whether the human body is "natural" or not if norms are often arbitrarily dictated by what makes people uncomfortable, meaning that saying "but I don't find it uncomfortable" doesn't do anything to convince the people who do and would be fine with the status quo of "please don't go around naked" remaining in place. I mean you're kinda gonna have to do better than that if you want it to change, because if we take discomfort to be a personal issue and thus a non-factor in public conduct then it becomes pretty hard to argue against public masturbation as well.
