There are some pretty powerful pro-Israel lobbying groups in the United States, including the Christians United for Israel and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the latter of which has been criticised for holding significant influence in Congress.
A significant amount of funding for the Democratic and Republican parties comes from these pro-Israeli groups in comparison to other similar groups, such as Arab lobbying groups.
So it would be ignorant to say the United States doesn't make an effort to align it's interests with Israeli interests, but a lot of those conspiracy theorists use this as justification or smokescreen for pushing some anti-Semitic agenda which is totally racist and unjustifiable.
