TSA to deploy more floppy-ear dogs because they're less scary than pointy-ears

Is no one going to talk about the facial recognition scanners that apparently are also going to be implemented?
Why do you think they're making a big stink out of the dogs?
Honestly that part is fucking terrifying and brings us a few steps closer to becoming like China with the Eye of Sauron.
We've got a wanna-be fascist in power with neoliberal handlers that he keeps shrugging off every time they tell him no and replacing with yes-men.
It's perfectly reasonable to dislike and not want to support the fuzz during this, especially since it's clear they will side with the fascists before they side with the common man.
Pretty sure police and such don't have much to do with the Trump administration. I'd imagine any president would do this as no pres can fight the surveillance state.
TSA's a federal agency with the authority to arrest and detain you, just as much as the FBI, the CIA, etc.
A president and his/her Congress and Senate COULD fight the surveillance state, but the neoliberal Democrats, the neoliberal Republicans and the psychotic fascist wing of the Rs lead by Trump do not want to spend time doing this. This is because the oppression of the citizen does directly benefit Capitalism, as a surveillance state definitely helps identify and manipulate methods to keep the worker oppressed, unable to organize, and as a result unable to successfully campaign for worker's rights and/or an end to Capitalism.
If the Civil Rights movement was today, it would be crushed under the heel of surveillance and our militarized police, followed up by a spin from the news in favor of the neoliberal status quo.
I believe the surveillance state is uncontrollable just like the military industrial complex.
I have a feeling you've never once been to an airport for real. Out of the ~2 dozen airports I've been through TSA is consistently made up of people who just don't give a fuck
It's only uncontrollable as long as we let neoliberals and capitalists reign supreme, really.
So let's go over this point by point:
You're trying to find an excuse to dismiss my claims, I get that. However, I've flown many times, and if anything, this helps back the point that the TSA isn't there for actual security. Why have it if they "don't give a fuck"? It's for intimidation and oppression, not actual security.
Children being subjected to this crap is simply morally unacceptable. They're treated as potential terrorists and it's hammered into them that they better stay in line or else, especially if they're introduced to this environment and mindset at a young easily-impressionable age. This level of intimidation intended to oppress adults scares the shit out them when looked at from a scale perspective, to the point that they're switching the type of dogs they use so that kids are a little less freaked out.
More evidence that the entire operation is for oppression, intimidation, and fear mongering instead of actual security. The TSA isn't your friend and they aren't there to keep you safe.
I never thought about being less intimidated by dogs with floppy ears. All of my dogs have had floppy ears and I know how vicious they can be, meanwhile I've never had any problems with pointy eared dogs
TSA is primarily pageantry. They exist to look like a deterrent so as to discourage actual attacks. They won't catch them usually, but the idea is that if they look like they will then they'll never actually need to.
