I wish the as-good-as-a-monopoly-steam wasn´t a thing so we could go "fine, don´t have my money then".
Of course the success of Steam gives them more room to try new things as they aren't dependent on the income from their games, but they haven't had to rely on their own games as a way of funding themselves for many, many years. That "they want to experiement" approach is not some new idea they've came up with recently, their games were them trying new things too.
Schrödinger's Game: as long as Half-Life 3 isn't released, no one can possibly know if it's being worked on or not. (Also works with any other anticipated Valve game)
Multiple mod teams are making Episode 3/HL3, so if Valve is working on it themselves then they'd probably want to announce it so nobody wastes their time on it. Otherwise their own version will be overshadowed by the controversy.
This is Valve though, they rarely announce anything until its like 12~6 months to release, sometimes even sooner.
They'll never do it.
thanks for confirming you never cared about reality or facts

Artifact is as much of a game as counting how many times you can poke a shit with a stick.
