Hateful surprise: Offensive toy found inside Kinder chocolate egg

Chocolate eaters have taken aim at Kinder Surprise after numerous parents found an "offensive toy" inside the popular egg.

A large number of people took to Facebook to post photos of the "nasty" plastic toy.

The plastic toy shows a white Kinder character holding three blue balloons with the letters KKK on them.

I'm not from the US and the KKK is pretty well known. In the anglophone sphere, it tends to get held up as an example of a crazy white supremacists.

It's a white egg that has three balloons each with a single K on them, equating it to the KKK is a huge stretch tbh.

I always find it kind of odd when people outside of the US get offended by this stuff. It be one thing if the kinder egg guy was wearing a white hood, but come on. This is literally being offended for the sake of being offended. In the US I could see it being distasteful, but considering that we can't even legally have them here the only reason people know its offensive is because it is in the US.
