dafuc did I just read?
Trudeau?
to be fair it's probably less understanding it and more distorting it sufficiently to the PRC gov's needs
Funny that China is releasing this while also cracking down on student Marxist organizations. Because worker ownership of capital would be an enormous threat to an economy that runs on paying their workers like shit in order to make cheap shit no one actually needs.
They probably wanna rewrite Marx teachings to be in line with the CCP's agenda in the same way that they are trying to rewrite the bible.
that is almost certainly the case. The only new thing here is that they are doing it in the form of an anime in an attempt to reach youth.
For those who haven't seen the video thread about this: https://forum.facepunch.com/general/bupfs/Video-Trailer-for-Chinese-cartoon-series-about-Karl-Marx/ I find funny that in some parts it resembles JoJo: Phantom Blood
I can't wait for Karl Marx to fight literal capitalist vampires with the power of his "for the people"-ness. This might be a hoot, even if it's just pro-regime propaganda.
Well as mentioned in the article, this isn't even about Karl Marx and his ideology- Its about the ideology of Shitting Ping, what with the- 'obey the party or die' sort of thing. Nobody are organizing workers' strikes in china and getting away with it i'd wager.
The Russian federation was an economic and social shithole in the 1990s thanks partly to rampant free market policies.
