• TF2 Youtuber Comes Back After Faking Own Death in 2015

This isn't just some petty internet drama dude, he invented a fictional illness to buy himself a way out of something he easily could have walked away from normally. And within a community that has lost people to such things before maybe people aren't so willing to accept back someone they thought dead because haha was just a goof I told you I was dead because I couldn't be bothered to make more videos XD
Someone get me up to speed here, i've not played tf2 since about 2011
I thought his death was just a rumor, where it was confirmed?
I wouldn't be all that surprised if someone actually tries to kill him.
I don't think it was ever explicitly confirmed but saying you need to stop making videos due to personal illness and then 5 years of radio silence leads people to make certain assumptions.
It's also super undermined by doing an ARG I'll be honest when I was first watching the video I was like "okay he acknowledges he did a bad thing and deserves flak i guess thats fine" but then I finished it and thought some more and damn, fuck sketchek.
Popular youtuber Sketchek was a pyro main and made cool TF2 videos and got a large following in the community. He wanted to quit youtube so he pretended he had a terminal disease and passed away. Valve honored him by adding a stat to the axtinguisher weapon named after him. He comes back suddenly because he feels guilty about pretending to have terminal illness just to stop making vids, makes a half assed apology video.
he fakes his death by using a theme (terminal illness) that hits very close to home with a majority of people, he watches as people (particularly younger people in tf2's demographic) are actually upset and mourn his death and when he comes back he sets up an ARG for even more hype and attention, then says he just loves to take people for a ride and is looking forward to the "virtue signalling". i don't think it's too extreme to say i think he should fuck off, guy's a cunt.
"I feel nothing and have no emotions so you should too" is always an amazing valid argument that brings a lot to the conversation isn't it. Seriously if youre unable to understand why the vast majority of people would care then idk dont brag about it, it just makes you look extremely condescending and simply assholish. Knew people who looked up to him, his videos represent an era of tf2 to them. He seriously could just have walked out of youtube and everything would have been fine. But nah he had to manipulate everyones emotions for years, got a whole community to mourn him, and pulls the "haha virtue signaling e celebs" bullshit when coming back. Fuck him. It's obvious why people are mad.
For some reason acting like a psychopath is popular on certain circles of the internet.
Dude if nobody from TF2 has tried to kill me then nobody is going to kill Sketchek
You sure you haven't received that package that's ticking (don't worry they're just cookies) from me?
I do get what you're saying here but to say it's just for a prank or fame IS changing the narrative. He didn't want to be bothered anymore and yeah he did a crazy thing but it was to disconnect. He only came back because he felt bad about it. Like IDGAF about this dude at all but if you're seriously this distraught over it there's probably a bigger issue than what he did at play here
