If you want to argue against people, maybe you should start by understanding their arguments?
Many people in this thread are in the LGBT camp themselves, and STILL dont like Sonicfox' attitude.
This isn't about liking or disliking gay people, it's about Sonicfox specifically - who seems to have an easily dislikable personality.
Being gay doesn't shield you from critique.

People in this thread don't care that he is gay.
They don't care what he does in the bedroom, who he dates, what he is into, because it does not affect us.
We care that he continually goes on and on about it all the time for no reason, I've said it before, it's great that he is happy being who he is, that's fantastic.
But it gets annoying hearing the same thing over and over again, especially when it has no place in X context.
He could be going on about how much of a furry he is, and people would still say the same thing, could be going on about how much of an esports legend he is, people would say the same thing.
When the only thing he adds to any discussion is "I'm gay", it is very annoying and people don't like that.
There is nothing homophobic about finding someone annoying.
It just happens what people find annoying, is related to him being gay.
It's like if I went on about how white I am, or how Bi I am, how great I am at X thing, all the time, even when it adds nothing to the conversation, or is just in general the wrong place for it.
People would call me out for it, for being annoying, for being obnoxious.
Whether you like it or not, LGBT people can be annoying and obnoxious, and people can dislike that in that person, and dislike that person entirely.
It doesn't mean they are homophobic or transphobic.
It just means they don't like the person.
there's "understandably not being a fan of a person who's obnoxious, coincidentally about being gay, while not disliking gay people in general" and someone dishonestly saying so because they legitimately hate gay people. and it seems like a lot of people in this thread don't really get how they can kinda come off as the latter
just a general tip? try to be more conscious of what gendered words you use about people you don't know, especially in lgbt-related discussions, and maybe try using gender neutral ones instead, otherwise you could accidentally be disrespectful to people. i think violet is female.

maybe if you and the other people who think like you stopped misrepresenting literally everyone else in the thread there could be an actual discussion. the word homophobic means that someone has an irrational fear/hatred of gay people; stop using it when what you really mean is "someone who disagrees with me". the only people bringing sexuality into it in an us vs them scenario are you, xubs, turtleunit, who unironically talks about "the hets" like republicans talk about "the gays", and tones3d, who was too busy treating owlz as some kind of lgbt-uncle tom to see the post where sonicfox said the thing that tones3d said sonicfox never said, and then acted like it was some kind of ploy or something. if you stopped treating everyone like a fucking enemy who wants to marginalize and eradicate gay voices, you might realize that facepunch is not what whatever alt-right, (norwegian???) hole you think it is.

it's just an impression i've gotten from this thread, with examples of dishonest actual hate speech i've seen elsewhere in mind. not that i've seen any on this website.

my first point? about how people can come off as hateful without being so at all? some people have a some times maybe too strong sense for really dishonest, hateful people. a healthy sense or not, i think it's kinda important to have that in mind in this discussion, to at least see where people are coming from. like, i don't even entirely agree with it
(since you quoted my entire post and im kinda unsure lol) if you meant the other point, it's just something i get reminded of relatively often, something i think people could at least be considerate about.
