You asked what they can sentence him for? I'm assuming you meant how much time he can get because that is usually what happens when you get sentenced. Getting charged and convicted are different things. He got charged with disorderly conduct, which is a class 4 felony. He can get sentenced between 3-6 years. Filing a false police report is disorderly conduct, according to Illinois code. A class 4 felony is punishable by one to three years, the code says. Don't get butthurt because you can't read an article, it is in the 3rd paragraph of the article and is even in big bold letters in the main title. I'm not being an asshole lol, you could have figured this all out on your own. Reading is cheating.

You asked about sentencing and you got a response based on the article which also links the state statutes. So, let me get this right? Based on those question we were suppose to know you were actually asking what additional charges he could get? How does any of this even imply what you wanted to convey? You asked how serious it was, you got a response. It is a felony, which is serious lol. What can they sentence him for? We'll based on that he question it would assume he got convicted for the felony originally mentioned and if convicted he could be sentenced 3-6 years with fines. The article links to the charge and has a secondary link to the state laws which explain the min-max sentence for the charge. None of the questions you originally asked were even close to "How much can they tag onto this charge given the circumstances."
