Manipulated through what? It's not like they hid what they were, she knew exactly what she was doing she even bloody admits it.
thats not what she said in the interview. she said she was told beheading was ok in islamic law. the videos she watched advertised isis as some safe haven for a better life. unless you can link another interview?
Yea but you should be able to tell some group that FUCKING BEHEADS PEOPLE to be beyond mental
Those 15 year olds are also scumbags whats your point? I grew up with those kinds of people, they weren't manipulated, they knew exactly what they were doing and didn't give a fuck.
So why don't we just lock them up forever? Hell, lets just toss everybody who's ever committed a crime in prison forever. They should've known better, right?
They do get tried as adults on occasion if they decide to go out and murder someone.
Obviously I'm aware that daring to suggest the solution to this is a little more complicated than just "kill em all world is a fuck" is a little controversial. And sitting around hoping that our politicians gut our extradition laws just to stick it to some 15 year old in a refugee camp is a little short sighted don't you think? No one here is defending this girl, saying that she should be subject to the laws of the country she is still a citizen of is not defending her actions despite the fact you seem to believe otherwise. When dealing with groups like ISIS it is important that we show them and the world that we are above them, if we reduce ourselves to the same base cruelty and brutality that they use then we only support their cause.
she had no idea dude. thats why the trauma and horror has finally caught up and now she can't bare the reality.
Absolute bleeding heart rubbish, I'll take her own words over yours
It's almost like it's been determined that kids at that age generally aren't capable of conducting themselves in a proper and responsible manner. A shame that isn't applicable here because she should've known better.
So can you explain why this girl leaving the country to marry a fighter makes her exempt from punishment under UK law.
They're not AS capable, but that doesn't mean they're absolutely idiots incapable of making basic moral differentiations like this.
Well, I guess it's her bad then. She should've just committed a crime in the UK, or anywhere else and she'd get to come home. But not here. Because she should've known better.
Yep that's not how that works. She's in a refugee camp, there will be no prosecution out there.
She doesn't have to personally kill them, she still contributed in her own way to a genocidal terror group, particularly considering her example encouraged others to join in.
you'll take every word a potentially mentally ill, brainwashed young woman seriously. good for you, son. meanwhile your taxpayers money keeps actual terrorist murderers comfortable and well fed.
If you say so, if the government handles this the way you think they should then that would do more to support terrorist recruitment than this girl could anyway.
So now it's just a matter of guilt by association? Shit, better lock up anybody who was the spouse or relative of somebody who ever killed somebody else. They must have contributed in their own way.
You're just making excuses for her, by your logic we can't hold anyone accountable for their actions because there PROBABLY something wrong with them. The ones caught in this country you can't do anything about them, they're here and they can experience justice here. We don't however need to bring more here. And don't be naive to think all they did was make tea, they were still involved in the campaign and still play their part in propaganda.
elaborate. which call of duty campaign specifically did she participate? the one where she cleans the kitchen or sweeps the floor?
And you base this on literally what? What evidence do you have that holding those involved in terror organisation responsible for their actions will somehow "contribute to terror". You're pulling this totally out of your ass.
You're actively arguing that she should not be returned to the country to face trial, you're arguing that we shouldn't be holding her accountable for her actions. The Syrian state doesn't give a shit about her, they won't do anything to punish her. You're also forgetting that many parts of the normal Wehrmacht were active participants in the holocaust and other atrocities.
Actively joining ISIS and encouraging others to do the same? It's not like she just spontaneously appeared in ISIS territory.
So if a boatload of Syrian criminals showed up on your doorstep tomorrow, you wouldn't move to extradite them, right? You'd agree that it's your responsibility to deal with them because they were caught in your country. Can you point to an interview where she talks about going out and actively encouraging murders and beheadings?
Literally the last 19 years of trying and failing to tackle islamic extremism by just dumping a load of bombs on them and calling it a day, I know its an incredibly easy answer to simply say you should kill them all and be done with but that hasn't worked out so well this far has is?
Yeah and those who participated were brought to justice, no matter how small their part to play was. What's your point here? I'm saying she can be held accountable for her actions right where she is. If she's stuck in a refugee camp for the time being that's her problem.
encourage who? the only time i heard about her is now and when she left.
So wait your solution when dealing with people that left to fight or support terrorist organisations, is to leave those people in the area where those organisations operate and where another may very well pop up in another year or so. And not detain or remove them but just kind of leave them there. Isn't that a little counter productive.
exactly, she was groomed. now you get it it.
By watching people being murdered and thought "hmm that looks good". Not really my idea of "groomed" and more that she was clearly a psycho from the start.
