Well yes that's technically true for now. There has yet to be a massive outbreak of small pox or measles because vaccinations have been killing the disease off for decades now. The more people who refuse to vaccinate, the more cases will start spreading. It's an exponential growth, not a flat total.

People have been able to write essays on how bad this paper is. You can find doctors that think vaccines cause autism. You can find geologists that think the world was created 6000 years ago. You can find physicists that think climate change isn't real. What matters isn't what opinions the contrarians publish in blogs, what matters is the evidence they present in scientific literature, and if their evidence can stand up to the scrutiny of their peers.
