• Rumor - Microsoft Bringing Cuphead and Gamepass to Nintendo Switch

Which is why Microsoft bought out a load of mid sized developers last year. They know the only exclusives they have are Halo, Gears, and Forza and they're looking to expand. And yes games on PC do count, since Microsoft consiers the Microsoft Store to be a part of the Xbox service.
That's just them being desperate though. When you consider the Xbox games on the PC then the actual Xbox One exclusives gets even smaller
Game Freak (Pokemon's developer) actually has a game on Steam and Steam only. Not sure why but that's actually a thing.
Why spend a lot of money researching and creating your own portable console when you can partner up with someone who isn't really your direct competitor anyway who already has an established userbase?
Really not minding this era of Microsoft and Nintendo getting in bed together. Portable Halo would be an absolute dream, streaming or otherwise.
I wonder if this would also include OG Xbox and 360 games as well. I mean, if it's just streaming anything could be possible, I'm not expecting decade-old games to suddenly get ported to the Switch. Look, I'm just super desperate to be able to play Mercenaries: Playground Of Destruction again without having to buy a new console just for that and nothing but.
You realize that the exclusives is not the only reason people buy consoles, right? Some people just want a box which "just works" 100% of the time, won't break after driver or os update and has seamless controller experience across all of the software inside of it.
A marriage between MS and Nintendo makes a lot of sense, actually. Microsoft is good at getting a lot of power under their hood, Nintendo is good at innovating. Microsoft has the hearts of FPS gamers on lockdown, while Nintendo has a stable of franchises that people love. Microsoft appeals to the hardcore western gamer, Nintendo has tons of all ages titles that sell millions. Thry compliment each other really well.
Mercenaries works on 360 and One, they were even giving it away for free a few months back.
Ok, let me rephrase it: Making game available on a PC doesn't hurt Xbox because there's a lot of people who prefer console over PC due to the reasons I have listed in my previous message. It's perfectly fine for Microsoft to release their exclusives on a PC and make them available via streaming on a Switch because their only direct competitor is Sony.
That's true. If people have a good PC, chances are they aren't also going to buy a console.
Microsoft is turning Xbox into a brand rather than a console, which I think is a smart move. Phil Spencer is very vocal about getting games into the hands of all players. People who still want an xbox can still buy one for the console experience, but allowing players the option to play on PC and even stream their games on the Switch is a very, very pro consumer move.
Doesn't work THAT well on the 360. Freezes up too often.
Cuphead master mode difficulty: best the game using the Joycon on its side. Seriously though, if you can get around the gimped controller, 2 player portable Cuphead would be fantastic.
They're doing this because the Xbox sold like shit
Again. The Xbox One has sold over 40 million units. Stop talking shit.
can you stop making unsubstantiated hot takes please, it borders on straight-out lying
No, they're doing this because transitioning the Xbox service into a software thing means there is a vastly greater userbase they can tap into, meaning a hell of a lot more money for Microsoft than anything a console alone could provide.
Chips Challenge & SkiFree > 3D Pinball SC
They also made https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tembo_the_Badass_Elephant Published by sega and not released on any nintendo platforms
My brothers PC has been acting up, seems like a good time to buy a console considering its something that works without hassle. Convenient when you don't have alot of time.
