Maybe you're the one who's entitled for expecting endless supply of slaves
lol why tf would you ever work for free
i'm not gonna do an unpaid internship when my piece of shit job is barely enough to afford rent and food alone.
Jee, it's almost like unpaid work is basically slave labor
So much this, it's honestly disgusting how the less you earn the more you are expected to care/give. When I used to work just a few hours in a shop every weekend I was expected to be in at 5:30 AM to open the damn shop and was expected to be all smiles and sunshine, sing the party fucking line and "give it my all" on minimum fucking wage for 9 hours each week. Fuck that and fuck you, I feel less stressed on my 9 to 5 job working on something I actually give a shit about and there is less pressure from management despite the fact that what I do is infinity more important that being a till grunt. No in my old minimum wage job I had a manager who would bitch if you were a minute late, if you logged out of your till when the clock on the till read 10 or whenever your shift end time was she would check her phone and tell you to go back to work cus her phone was a couple minutes slower that the till clock. Then there was the time that when my shift ended she said "you put the fruit out before you go" this was no way part of my responsibilities for the day and I told her "I'm putting any etra time for that on my sheet" and she turned around and said "falsifying documents is a crime and can get you fired on the spot". I put down the extra time anyway and nothing ever came of it, it's been nearly two years since I left that place and I still get actual nightmares about it.
the issue is that the rich see fair in a much different light than the bottom 90% do. We should avoid these sorts of emotional arguments and make the case on solid language.
When I did fast food, they paid me minimum, but were asking at least $15/hr worth of my effort.
Gosh, what a coincidence that things started to go to shit when Reagan entered office!
i think the spca asking for volunteers to help sick and sad homeless kitties is totally fair because that money can go to more kitties being helped
Blame the landlords, supermarkets, utility companies for thinking they're entitled to being paid for their services too. The gratitude from a millionaire business owner doesn't translate into paying rent.
The same time as those tax cuts on the rich were introduced as well, its almost like taxes stop the rich from hoarding wealth or something. Crazy right?
Oh it gets better: S&P/Case (housing cost index) Nevermind the fucking rental places too. I was considering moving into a decent trailer park but every place is owned by sun communities which charges a fucking bullshit 600+/mo lot rent which is not even covering the cost of a trailer itself. Not a single open trailer park here isn't owned by the extorting cunts.
I can actually one up that because despite the fact that I work a full time job and can afford to live in an actual condo or home, I still cannot because my credit score was obliterated by a late water bill, rental agencies take one look at it and that's the end of that. These rental agents expect well-to-do families with spotless credit scores and income 3x the amount of the rent, and they want this for mobile homes and run down condos.
I'm honestly scared about my future. I know I'll never get a moment of rest, I'll have to waste my youth so some aging boomer can buy a new yacht. I'll never have money, I'll never live the life I wish I could live because someone decides I don't deserve to be happy. That I deserve to work for nothing and be fine with it. That I don't deserve the same opportunities they had. That I should work for my wealth despite the fact that in order to move to the top I need to already be in a position of power from the day I was born. Fuck this society, fuck the weird celebrity worship of the rich, and fuck anyone that thinks we don't work hard enough or that we're too entitled. We work harder than any rich piece of shit ever had to work, because they rigged the system against anyone that tries to rise above where they are. It's never enough to just be rich, they have to be even richer. To want more money than they could ever possibly spend in a lifetime. I'll never understand how people can become so greedy and ignorant of the suffering that surrounds them.
Hey, if the last few years have shown anything, it's that the vast majority of people under 40 are also as aware of how fucked everything is as you are. Not only that, but there are real movements to unfuck everything, being led by said people. The current system is almost on the verge of collapse anyway, since once the poor have literally no spending power then markets start collapsing. Even if they don't realize it now, the rich have to listen to the next generation and bend to their will or either go bankrupt or be eaten. If social media is good for anything, it's galvanizing society to take action against its illnesses. In this case, our whole generation is fully aware of the real possibility of our civilization collapsing and most of us are working towards avoiding that, even if it just means casting a vote every so often. And if we fail, then hopefully whatever society emerges from this second Dark Age can learn from us all.
it's part of a lot of health qualifications to work for free. nursing is 4000 hours unpaid labour.
