Forget the Galaxy Fold, Huawei unveiled an absolutely gorgeous foldable phone

they're a lot nicer for web browsing and just general dicking around. i personally wouldn't get one but i'd imagine they'd fit nicely into purses or other bags.
There's a reason that the Galaxy Fold puts the hinge outside the screen:

I find my Xiaomi Mi Max 2 more comfortable and easier to use than regular sized phones, and it still fits in my pockets.
Even Samsung's isn't very well protected, the outside screen is still plastic and there is a gap, so stuff like sand or little things can easily get it there and scratch the interior screen.
Both foldables are reliability/durability nightmares, even if the Samsung one is better at it.
Now I’m not sure, from what I’ve read it seemed to imply that both screens used the same compound. But that might be misleading.
Gorilla glass isn’t listed as a spec though so I’m not sure.
I hope these $2000 foldable phones are going to flop hard. The very idea of paying that much for a phone makes me sick
It's that expensive because the tech isn't ready for mass consumption. In a few years, phones like this will be cheaper; however, whether people will buy them is another question.
I was just looking at the site of Royole (btw their Flexpai phone is just a ~measly~ $1300), and I can't get over how shitty their wearables look:

M'oledy
how long till we install ad blockers on our clothes
This isn't real, right???? Paying over 2k for tech that's not even ready. This alone is proof they not only rushed it out, but also didn't put as much time into research

It's an issue on their phone too. I wouldn't want my phone to look like that for the prices they're charging It looks so plasticky.
It doesn’t even look real. Looks like one of those plastic tablet toys for babies.
You guys realize how powerful the stage lights are right
You'd have a hard time finding parts that aren't.
So far I like this concept the best. I like that it's not as tall. But it seems to be some type of prototype which will change lots. It doesn't seem to have any cameras.

I actually laughed at the impossibility of that. You'd need to have a phone with a starting surface area so ridiculous that, If my math is right,(and assuming that you can actually fold any type of materials this amount of times, when it's actually pretty much impossible to get over 10 consecutive folds of itself) we should calculate rough estimates:
A surface area of approximately 75 cm2 (after the 1000 consecutive folds; metric system, yikes), which is 0,0075 square meters or 0,0000000075 square kilometers;
Multiplying any of those numbers by two to the power of 998 (the result of a 75cm2, 0,0075 square meters or 0,0000000075 square kilometers being doubled on each consecutive fold) area gives us 2,67877151796566830237106262265e+300 kilometers.
To give you an idea of how ridiculously large of a number this is, 46.5 billion light-years (8.80e+26 meters) is the rough diameter of the entire observable universe. this is by orders of maginitude, a number 274 zeroes shorter than the calculated above.
There are an estimated 1e+78 to 1e+82 atoms in the known, observable universe.
Conclusion:
If the trend of making smarthpones with more and more cameras continue (with the rate of double the amount of cameras regarding the previous generation), Huawei will launch a Smartphone with as many cameras as kilometers needed to fold itself in approximately a thousand years.
Not bad.
literally any supporting evidence to that at all please
