My first post in this thread is not factually incorrect. Going to bed now tho nini
actually no. Your first post in the thread was "Call it what you want, but at its core it is cosmetic surgery. It doesn't change your chromosomes or give you functioning reproductive organs of the opposite sex." which is factually incorrect by your own admission here "Ok i can retract rhat portion of what i said" and the rest of it is just stating the obvious like it was some massive and stunning revelation.
love the "well u cant change chromosomes!!" argument, and by love i mean it makes me roll my eyes so hard they fall out who fucking cares about the technicality?? is an overweight person who has surgery to remove weight "still technically fat"? is a person who has their vision restored with glasses "still technically blind!" perhaps those would be accurate descriptions, but you'd never say it because it's fucking meaningless. is a transwoman still "technically" a man? on a biological level, by these arbitrary standards ignoring social context, appearance and in some cases literally their genitals, yes. who actually needs to care about that though? medical professionals, maybe the government at a push?? no idea why this is a fact people apparently cannot possibly look past, ignoring all context beyond that one "gotcha" point that it's apparently super important how someone was born just admit that you're transphobic and you don't like or respect trans people
Thats not even mentioning chromosomal disorders that cause biological women to be born with XY chromosomes, klinefelters syndrome which causes men to be born with XXY chromosomes. Defining sex purely by chromosome is dumb reductionism. The age old saying "if it quacks like a duck, swims like a duck, and looks like a duck" is probably the best way to go about it.
Thats not my first post in the thread
oh I'm sorry. thats the first post in the thread you made with any marginal substance. Your actual first post was this "You cant change your sex with surgery until we can modify genes." Which is also a dumb repeat of the chromosome argument. Furthermore on a technical level it is in fact incorrect. To make someone genetically female, theoretically all you would have to do is cause the Y chromosome to not express itself (this is possible, as evidenced by aforementioned XY women). So no, it was still factually incorrect. I thought you were going to sleep?
Had to let the dogs out and ate an apple
Do you really need me to explain one of the simplest sayings in the English language to you???
If we are going by that saying, then do you have to look like a woman to be a woman? Thats more what im getting at.
If you act like a woman, present like a woman, and describe yourself as a woman you are in all likelihood a woman is what I am getting at. Dont try and insinuate that I'm saying that nonpassing transwomen are not women.
I don't know about all of you, but I always make sure to draw someone else's blood, send it to a genetics laboratory, and wait four to six weeks for the results to arrive before I decide what to call them. You have to make sure, you know.
Thats why you gotta make sure to drain someone of all their blood and inject it into yourself, that way we can infiltrate starfleet the government and instate our evil trans agenda
How do you act and present like a woman? Do you have to wear dresses and make up to be a woman? Do you have to act ladylike?
You act however you believe a woman should act. Stop with this inane attempt at muddying the waters.
what is your purpose exactly
You know what you're doing. Stop.
This isn't the case for all trans people, but for of them, their dead name is deeply tied into dysphoria as a trigger; i.e., being called that name can instantly trigger dysphoria in some people, which can sometimes be (very, very) bad, seeing as dysphoria actively contributes to extremely high suicide rates. That aside, for the rest of trans folk, while ideally they wouldn't have to hide themselves from public view, that's just not a luxury that a lot of them have. Murder rates of transgender people are extremely high, and being called by a dead name can literally instantly out someone to everyone around them. But honestly, it just boils down to basic respect and decency; If you're calling someone by a dead name, that means that you actively put in the time, effort, and research to be a dick.
