If their online sale service for new cars is as bad as the one for a used cars then they have just shot themselves in a foot.
Tesla should really focus on making a better experience for their CURRENT cars rather than bringing out new ones.
For example the model X. Imagine spending $100k on a car, getting in a minor accident where bodywork gets damaged, and then having to wait 3 months to get it fixed lol.
Is $35k like, affording for middle class people? My car cost like $8k, and was paid for mostly by an insurance settlement. I couldn't imagine buying a car for $35k
I don't mind the main screen idea, falling inline with a notion of minimalist design, but I definitely feel that it needs a gauge cluster screen behind the wheel, you shouldn't need to glance to the right to see the speedometer.
They drastically improved the body shops parts issue over the last year, though they still have more work to do. Improving service is the current focus, since Tesla sales exploded in the last year the service centres have struggled to keep up.
My Dad backed into my Model 3 over New Years' and had to wait 2 weeks for parts then 2 weeks for them to fix it because there were about 5 to 10 other Model 3s in the shop for service.
Apparently from what I have heard, Tesla closing their dealer stores(they are leaving their gallerias open) is to shift their focus on service and cut operating costs. Honestly, as long as I can go to a Tesla gallery and test drive a car there, I wouldn't mind the online only sales, as online only has been the only option for my state.
all teslas now come with a 7 day 1,000 mile return window

Even if you go to the store to order, you just went through the website to order anyway.
that last point of preventative maintenance costs *really* is dependent on what your car actually is. pretty sure I'd spend less maintaining my 90's jap shitbox than a brand new american auto in the southern hemisphere. and my jap shitbox isn't exactly a gas guzzling CO spewing behemoth either. <0.1% CO emissions by volume boiiii
Financing a $35k+ car would be really dumb. You'll end up paying so much more.
