I still got emails Notch responded to after Minecraft had been in development for a few days.
I bet he got lonely and spent too much time in the online "Anti sjw crowd". After all he did have his own media issues with identity politics people.
Didn't he alienate every one in his life? I disntictly remeber him having a breakdown about how he's surrounded by fake people and couldn't grasp why the devolpers who didn't support the Microsoft purchase were upset with him. Also didn't his wife leave him with a hefty alimony a year after the sale?
MInecraft basically began as a "cave generator/explorer" game he threw together in 24 hours for a coding challenge. He had to hire a bunch of competent people to make it what it is today.
Mojang? Competent? 'scuse me these two words don't belong in the same sentence.
notch has been an avid 4chan user since the game was in its early days

not sure why this is really a surprise to anyone
To be fair, /v/ back in the early to mid 2000's was a whole different thing from what it is now.
If I recall, /v/ was one of the communities that latched onto it following the Infiniminer hype.
...wait, is that insinuated to be legit and not just a text edit mod?
It was real, I remember seeing it in person. Notch added a ton of those little messages during the beta for a bunch of communities that played Minecraft
It's realm should still be in the game, added in 1.0.14
They go hand-in-hand nowadays actually
friend came across it very recently, it's still there

Notch, what are you doing. I wouldn't even care if he was just right leaning, whatever. But QAnon? the conspiracy that is just as dumb as flat earth, but more dangerous since it says dangerous shit like some random ass pizza place is a pedo-ring for the "deep state"
Like holyfuck, I get that the "SJWs" gave you shit (well needed shit, but whatever), but really, you are going to go this far?
Probably inappropriate given the context of this thread, but I wish the "Fucking Amazing" forum emoticon from OldPunch was still around because I would use it as a response to that image.
Even though Notch has lost it, that's genuinely amazing that FP showed up on Minecraft as a quick cameo shoutout.

Notch being an alt-right weirdo is sadly nothing new, so I'm not that surprised the dumbass buys into Qanon.
finally, us gamers have a one true leader to rise up behind
Notch was a frequenter of /agdg/ (Amateur Game Development General), which is a longstanding thread. Currently, the thread (with all other generals) is housed in /vg/, but /vg/ was only created in 2012. Before that, everything that had to do with games, including agdg, was housed on /v/. Considering they were his first audience it's not surprising at all why he would include a shoutout to them.
Notch being mentally unstable really has little to do with it though.
iirc he went way downhill after his divorce but he was already a bit nuts in the first place, causing said divorce.
"here's how burnie can still win?"
His father also committed suicide, so there's that.
What has Notch been doing other than Twitter? I haven't heard of a game he's been working on in ages.
IQ is more a measure of thinking speed than anything else. Notch just thinks up stupid ideas much faster than people with a low IQ.
Q adherents believe Trump is enacting a secret plan to undermine the Deep State aligned against him, culminating in the mass arrest of complicit politicians and celebrities—an event known in QAnon circles as “The Storm” or “The Great Awakening.”
wouldn't expect anything less out of this stable genius tbh

At least he sold it off long ago and can’t force any of his dumb ideas into it without mods.
