The entire argument of 'multiple takes' is just silly. There's greater reason to take issue with things in the entire doc than 'multiple takes'. It's a documentary. There doesn't exist a single interview in any documentary that doesn't have multiple takes or small cuts in parts. Especially when you're attempting to convey a certain 'feeling' during a moment, or phrasing on a certain word or inflection, which, again, basically every documentary ever does that. They're all trying to sell certain emotions in certain scenes to keep the viewer engaged in the story or narrative being told. It's not like scripts or outlines for these things don't exist in some fashion anyway, so multiple takes to make sure everything flows well is just... how it's done.
