What the actual fuck. This literally looks like a worse Starship troopers except they ignored every advancement in filmmaking in the 21 years since it's release sans camera resolution.
ya like doom 4 would not be hard to adapt to a movie or at least elements of it but then why make a doom movie at all other than to waste money. they'll also be coming out against presumably more hellboy movies if the april one is good (and it looks good)

Though not 100% certain, I think this has a female protagonist too, hence the photo's focus on the female marine and her name being listed first in the cast lineup. Because I guess this is totally not cashing in on the Hollywood female cast reboot craze as of late, and I guess Doom was known and marketable for its grand total of.. two female scientists, one of whom was a villain, and a third unlucky one who had her skull rip out of her head to become a Lost Soul.
I remember saying that this would make for a decent Doom movie and people rated me dumb.
Is it really that difficult to make a movie like the game? If something works, why would you change anything about it?

I still believe the best concept for a Doom Movie would be an action-comedy starring Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel as co-opping Doomguys shit-talking each other while killing demons and spouting doom memes (Cyberdemon comes out, Vin asks "what do we do now?", Dwayne goes "I dunno, shoot it until it dies?"). Bonus points for any digs at the last Doom movie Dwayne starred in.
But a 2-hour version of that Doom 2016 ad that was posted in this thread would be fine, too.

Here's what I want from a DOOM movie. I want something absolutely batshit insane like this, nonstop brutal violence with heavy metal blaring through the theater's sound system. It'd be a completely indecipherable mess of demon guts that would probably make the news.
If they really wanted to, they could even do a DOOM prequel with the ending of the movie being DOOM Guy getting trapped in the magical rune-box, then teleported to the UAC facility. They did mention with Eternal that they wanted to build "DOOM universe" with the game, and this would not only let them do that, but also make a good DOOM movie.

Ironically, they did. Amy Manson, one of the leads, played a vampire called Daisy in Being Human.
