Some of it is deserved, but Windows 7 is close to a 10 year old OS.
If your complaint now that games don't support Win7, next year games and software are gonna be dropping it like a rock after the official EOL.
Lack of support was a valid complaint 3-4 years ago, it isn't anymore. Let the old gal go
That's crazy to me, it feels so recent in my mind.
Wonder what the pricing is going to be. They're releasing them one-by-one but I hope that doesn't mean they're going to all be full price titles. You can already get the MCC for xbone for $30, so I hope you don't end up having to pay more than like $20 for each of them.
I assume you'll be able to buy titles individually if you want or save 10-20 bucks by buying the collection and getting them all at once.
Darn I thought Master Chief was gonna be gay
I think Halo is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills aleins and doesnt afraid of anything.
Anyone know if progress with transfer over? Would love to rock my original Reach spartan on pc, since itll be connected by the same xbox live account.
I'm so God damn stoked. I've been waiting 12 years.

I don't actually know the release date, so I just put 2019 but whatever. I'm too excited right now to care.
Thank Jesus fucking Christ its finally happening. Finally I can replay all the Halo games with my friends/family anytime on Steam.
When I saw the news at work I started to freak out a little.
The guy who programmed OpenSauce for Halo 1 PC works on MCC updates at 343 now. He's directly involved.
I never got to personally play past Halo 2 so I'm hyped.
No more digging out my 360.
M/KB on my favorite series.
I've been hopeful for this kind of announcement for over a decade.
Crazy custom games with people I barely know.
Dumpstering people in SWAT.
It's an era I get to live all over again with new friends.

This is the kind of news we should be expecting at E3.
What's the point of that event anymore
Swell stuff btw

Just to clarify: all you’ll need is a Microsoft account:

As someone who has never played Halo in their life, I'm genuinely curious, what incentive do I have to play it?
I'm already accustomed to other games like Doom, Quake, and Unreal. Does it have anything that would stand out to me in terms of single-player gameplay?
In terms of gun play Halo sort of feels like a more counter strikish unreal where everything is a bit less beefy and more squishy and more reaction based instead of being reliant on long one on one duels. The movement is also less reliant on dodges compared to unreal and more on tactical footing in a battle scenario, and there is a lot more emphasis on enemy quantity instead of fewer bullet sponge enemies with the exception of the hunters.
Doesnt sound like you've really been living then.
I would imagine there's probably going to be a couple of ways to get it.
A "standard fee" to just buy (let's say $30) with the games being available as additional purchases that add up to a certain amount (let's say the rest of the games and the Reach multiplayer are $5/piece, adding up to a total of $60 by the end)
A flat "pass fee" that is less than the total of the standard (let's say $50), but it gets you every game and mode and the ability to download them as they come out
This way, those that want every game can get it for a cheaper price than getting every game individually, and those that only want certain games can just buy the games they want and pay less than the "pass fee" up to a point.
To be frank though, I'm such a fucking massive fanboy of old Halo that as long as the total price ends up less than $100 by the end, I'm getting it. Halo coming to PC is something I've wanted for so goddamn long and I'll fully shell out more to get that message across (up to a point, of course).
Halo on Steam and Diablo on GOG. I feel like I'm having a fever dream.
time to have The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on Itch.io for a grand finale.
apart from a broken spell-checker, apparently
I remember making a custom firefight ruleset in Reach where you only fought against hunters. It can be hopeless if you're going solo, but it's more challenging than the default rules.
I wonder if they'll include the old versions of Halo and Halo 2 as well, I heard you can switch the graphics in the console version but I'm afraid a lot of nostalgia will be lost in translation.
It simply means we will lose the original halo 1 HUD and sounds
But hey i ain't getting the mcc for hce, we got the Refined campaign, 60fps and eax. Give me the trilogy of pc unreleased games
They are also aware of these issues and plan to rectify them, they are working on fixing the dual-wielding elites. Dunno about the sounds, but was there anything changed about the Halo 1 HUD?
100% atleast uses Halo 2 anniversary steam screenshots include some of Halo 2 Remastered
Halo CE Anniversary uses a hires redrawn HUD, but some people just want the older one because it fits classic mode better. As far as I know H2A uses the same HUD system as H2 Vista.
