Disappointed with the news proclaiming his views as radical-right wing when in fact it sounds like, from his manifesto, he didn't like conservatism and was aligned a single a socialist/communist.

These people generally are cowards, and they tend to choose places to attack that they expect they won't face any resistance. There was an attempted mass shooting at a mall in Oregon, and as soon as the shooter saw someone else with a gun he killed himself. Mass shooters are generally spineless shits who cave under the slightest bit of pushback and either give up or die. The ones who don't tend to be the ones who have a beef with the government and are killing police or soldiers.

Places like Facebook should get better at moderating what is posted on their platform. Not go full hands-off when they already help spread alt-right propaganda and fake news as it is.
It doesn't seem like you really readmy post, so re-read it first of all. Then note 1. Private entities indeed do not have obligation to host any type of speech on their platform, which is part of my point 2. At the very end of my post i suggested a system that would change this by incentivizing huge, societally relevant social media websites to take legal first amendment policies and apply them to their websites, and i specifically used facepunch as an example in my post that's too small for this to ever apply to. This is somewhat tangential to my main point, but i was asked a tangential question 3. Free speech and censorship as concepts exist independent of whether or not it's a private or public entity implementing them. 4. Some "western countries" prosecute people for whatever they want and would and could continue to do so. If there's something illegal it's impossible to expect a website to go against the law of the land and that's not what any of this is about.

I read your posts. You didn't address the underlying issue.
You said you'd want to modify safe harbor laws in such a way that the only way to continue receiving them is to disallow moderation and curation of the content hosted on said sites. That's a false choice for every site larger than your average small discussion forum, every discussion board, video hosting site, and social media site would be forced to take up these new standards to continue receiving their safe harbor protections, the copyright piranhas will eat them alive otherwise. It's not an incentive in such a case, it's an ultimatum: Cut your moderation or shut down.
That's the idea, either they moderate properly or go hands off. If they are so absolutely massive huge that they can't moderate well, that's exactly the situation where a website is reaching society level power and importance and it's a good idea to start following free speech principles, so the sites act as a public forum in the same way reality does.
So you want websites that don't moderate enough to stop moderation altogether.
This makes no sense at all.
If a website reaches "societal levels of importance" then it's yet another reason to ensure it's moderated properly so that it's not used to peddle bullshit, propaganda or disinformation. It's not an argument to force it to transform into the fucking sewers of the internet.
