septic tank where pathetic people spend all their time obsessing over "autistic mushmouths" to make themselves feel better about their own empty lives
What a dick way to respond. I would have denied their request as well but not in such a derogatory manner. NZ is being quite retarded in their response to this video and manifesto though.
Kiwi Farms are basically where all the cunts that used to dox on 4chan went when the mods clamped down. Long story short, buncha fuckwits.
Seems like he jumped at the first opportunity to be a cunt to someone. I bet he feels proud, he told a foreign police officer that their country is a shithole and their law is a faggot (somehow). What a hero.
"Zombie Apocalypse" "Confederate Flags" "Camo-Webbin" oh, survivalist. Yeah, they tend to be crazy.
TIL that NZ thinks 30+ minute police response times are "fast". What a profoundly stupid stance. Also, on page 14 there's something kind of interesting. This article was apparently taken down right after the shooting. http://web.archive.org/web/20140727140346/http://stuff.co.nz/world/middle-east/10310496/A-kiwi-lads-death-by-drone I don't buy the conspiracy tier stuff about this being a targeted shooting because of this event, but it's kind of ridiculous that they're actively censoring a nearly 5 year old story.
If you're familiar with Chris-chan, Kiwifarms is the website that originally discovered him, and eventually made his life a living hell.
OK, coming from an American perspective, this is legitimately fucking repulsive. https://archive.li/E2htM Don't want to link stuff on private forums? Fine. Actively criminalizing it? Fuck right off with that nanny state tier bullshit.
Honestly, Kiwifarms ought to be eliminated. The entire concept of "lolcows" is friggin' disgusting. It's harassment hiding behind a shield of crowd size and anonymity. I wouldn't shed a tear if the FBI friggin' raided the bastards and shut 'em down.
ofc KiwiFarms had to act like KiwiFarms. Lets remove them from internet as well please.
No, the contents of the video constitute "fucking repulsive". This is the police enforcing an existing law. Also, you should read the whole article, it's short so there's no excuse not too. Anyway, he's probably only get fined. I'd be surprised if he got jail time.
I find it concerning that the crackdown of individual internet users is rather harsh for the purposes of "preventing the promotion of terrorism" while there's mass media coverage around the world about the attack, who committed the attack, the ideology of the attacker, and the reason why the attacker committed the crime. It just seems pointless. I can understand if websites will ban users for posting the video, but if a person passes it privately with other people they know, I don't see the point. You can criminalize a broad spectrum of people that may or may not have anything to do with the motives that the attacker had.
There was 2 attacks, in the second "only" seven people died, which is where this story is about. Don't know anything about the videos so can't say if what you saw was that part or not.
Then why aren't they targeting media outlets that played the video on their front pages? One user somewhere in this thread said a Spanish news outlet did a play-by-play of the video. If they really care about that video, why isn't that outlet recieving a demand for information on the producers and anchors?
I think it's more anti-Turk in general. The Ottomans launched the biggest offensive into Europe out of any Turkish regime so they get referenced the most, but there are other sore spots like the Seljuk Khanate's Invasion of Anatolia, the Armenian Genocide, the occupation of Cyprus, the dealings with ISIS, and the recent rejection of western ideals in favor of an Islamist dictatorship. Of course it's not fair to hold all of these things against the entire population of Turkey, but to the far right Turkey is still little more than a faceless "eastern horde".
The police are not so much an issue as the law itself, which isn't going to solve the issue, going to make it worse, and going to target the wrong people. The police of NZ trying to crack down outside their country and outside of where they are legally allowed to operate is also very problematic. The video is "Fucking repulsive" but so is a government trying to control what people in other countries is doing.
A friend of mine picked that up in the article. He'd have to be talking about the second attack but there's still some minor inconsistencies like the mentioning of a shotgun (that was discarded in the first attack.) Either way I simply hope what he's telling is the truth.
Not even on the same level imo.
I wasn't making a direct comparison, but it's good to see that's the one and only thing you got out of my response.
He is specifically talking about the second attack, according to the article. I also didn't see anything about a shotgun in there unless I missed it.
It's not on the same article, it's on one done by the CBC. This story is on pretty much on all of the news outlets right now.
I did check the interview with the guy, his English doesn't seem to be the best. Could've just been a miscommunication.
I'd be much more willing to listen to the demands for people to not share the video and manifesto if much more effort was made to hold the media to account on this. Major news organisations have been beaming disturbing and horrific footage of wars, genocides, and massacres (including closeup footage of people jumping out of the World Trade Center) for years. When this attack happened, the same news organisations are now doing the exact same thing (they are even posting excerpts on fucking Youtube) by showing the video and extensively quoting his manifesto at every opportunity. It's not even as though they are even taking care with the information or are even being respectful. Why the fuck are they allowed to do that? Why should the rest of us be threatened by the authorities for even owning a copy of the video when the journalists and CEOs of news corporations get off scot-free and get to spin whatever story they like?
Yeah, I actually do find it a bit suspect to take it completely 100% without any verification. I think in a moment like this, people want to believe there were heroes somewhere in something like this, but at the same time, I think it's a little disingenuous to roll with something you can't really verify with absolute certainty. What I do know that is certain from what I saw, is that the gunman blew out his left passenger door window out completely. He actually fired through his windshield several times, but the windshield did not completely break in, but is quite clearly cracked and damaged in some areas. And finally, in one of the videos floating around of the gunman being arrested, his vehicle propped up by a police car, the windshield of his vehicle looks to still be intact. Unless this is the vehicle of other suspects that weren't actually the gunman, I am very skeptical of the validty of this man's story.
The authorities manage to infiltrate private WhatsApp groups. It shouldn't be a problem. When kicked out of platforms like 4chan, extremists tend to host public boards as an alternative, since they still want to "recruit". So that shouldn't be an issue for the authorities, it would only have the added benefit of severely restricting their exposure and, as a result, keep their number down.
Now the fuckheads over here are getting brave (if cussing out people weaker than you can be considered "brave"). https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12213536
No, He had made a few fucked up jokes, the media correctly reported on it, and rather then apologizing for it, he cried "THE MEDIA IS OUT TO GET ME / apologized but then put blame on the media" And because the alt right loves to defend and hail there "freeze speech" sword around, and hatred for journalists and the main stream media, they start pulling the "Oh no, the mainstream media is lying" card, thous gain a huge amount of audiences like that shooter He starts to become a figure head and being embraced by these people Then Pews starts being complicit, and rather call these fans out, he starts making jokes with them, invite them to his show (like Shapiro), normalizes there viewpoint and hiding it all with a "it's just a joke" Also the reads and unironically supports Jordan Peterson
For fucks sake would you god damn stop?
I need you to explain to me in detail how hypocrisy is on the same level or worse than a dude live streaming killing 49 people.
Solitary confinement is inhumane and shouldn't be a thing even for cases like this.
