Watching porn online is about to become more difficult - but no one appears to r

And people laughed when I said I downloaded everything.
I don't have a problem with them banning porn specifically. The big concern is that this is the start of the curtailment of access to online content. Today it's porn, tomorrow it's accurate news reporting, the next day it's historical archives. Inviting the government into your lives to act as a moral arbitrator will only allow them to determine what informations is deemed suitable for you. Have fun when information starts going down the memory hole.
This could be resolved by parents actually parenting, rather than leaving their kids to be babysat by computers and TV. There's been the same drama on YouTube, with things being hidden in videos that look like kids cartoons. I think it's insane that there's parents who give their child access to YouTube in the first place. It's your child, be a parent to them!
why would you ever need to ban porn
Can old dumb people just be not allowed to make decisions that have anything to do with the internet
That isn't what I said.
I don't even live in the UK and this has finally convinced me to just get a VPN
The precedent being set of the internet being curtailed is more of a concern to me than losing porn.
You didn't say "There are more concerns here than just banning porn" you said "I don't have a problem with them banning porn specifically". There's a hugely difference implication with the latter
You can be obtuse about what I said if you want, I wrote enough to clarify what I meant.
You can just tell the old gits pushed this through. They obviously don't know what proxies or VPNs are, and how easy it is to use or set up (we've all used a proxy to play flash games in school back in the day. It's piss easy!).
Waste of time and money as usual.
Or, well, anything outside of their personal lives for that matter as well.
At least people might finally wise up and stop voting sodding Tory.
A huge rise in homelessness, foodbank use rising to unprecedented levels, and hobbled police + public services - who cares!? it doesn't effect me!
Can no longer watch my favourite cuckolding lesbian Brazilian BBW fart porn -

Better than voting for that terrorist sympathizing anti-Semitic hippy that's for sure!
I can't wait to get implanted with my first microchip.
on the one hand the conservatives are creating a much more restrictive police state for porn, on the other hand they did promise to get rid of all those foreigners...
Imagine introducing a point with something like "I don't have a problem with them banning porn specifically", only to turn around and throw a pissy fit when people interpret that statement same way any reasonable not-obnoxious person would. People shouldn't have to do mental gymnastics to understand what you're trying to argue.
You're overreacting. There was nothing esoteric about what I said. No mental gymnastics required.
question for my pals in the UK
does the porn pass cover all types of porn, or do you have to ask the man at the counter specially for a furry porn pass
I'm gonna laugh if they block all the booru sites via this, also it was actually Labour who originally proposed this, its just the tories actually put it through and passed it.
You lead with "I don't have a problem with them banning porn specifically". The implication is big and bold, and the fact you ultimately had to explain yourself speaks volume.
If it's the latter, I hope you can get deals. "If you get a step-sister porn pass and a bukkake porn pass together, we'll throw in an hentai porn pass too."
The implication is that banning porn specifically isn't the problem, it's that they're banning at all. That in principle is more concerning.
Trust me when that is not actually what the sentence you wrote implies. It implies that you don't have a problem with them banning porn, but you don't like the implications of them banning something. To get the effect you were apparently after, something like:
Would have actually given your intended effect.
oh shit better save up for a porn license before the old bill shows up at my house
I wrote a whole paragraph that says exactly that.
Ever since the days of internet that could go off on a whim, I gained a habit of saving any porn I liked.

Block this, you cheeky twat bastards.
I can't wait to make a living as a porn smuggler who delivers sustenance to dying brits with CSS sprays
Just accept that you worded it wrong and clarify. Trying to convince people they're wrong for misunderstanding you is pretty stupid. Communication involves more than just one person.
Was just about to come in and say this. Nothing wrong with making a mistake, but intentionally being ignorant to your mistakes is not healthy.
every day the UK becomes more and more backwards
I can't imagine any website hosted outside of the UK would care enough to follow this.
And can you imagine ISPs taking up the manpower to actually try and block every single porn website that doesn't follow these rules.
Also who's responsible for requesting sites to follow the law? Would they actually put in the manpower to request this to every single site?
And what even defines a pornographic site?
