Indiana teachers were shot with airsoft guns during active shooter drill

Several Indiana school teachers were shot with projectiles “execution-style” during a recent active shooter drill, leaving welts, drawing blood and frightening the educators, the Indiana
State Teachers Association said.
“The teachers were terrified, but were told not to tell anyone what happened. Teachers waiting outside that heard the screaming were brought into the room four at a time and the
shooting process was repeated,” the association said on Twitter. “No one in education takes these drills lightly. The risk of harming someone far outweighs whatever added realism one
is trying to convey here.”
The White County Sheriff’s Department did not respond to CNN’s request for comment. White County Sheriff Bill Brooks told the Indy Star that the ALICE training used an airsoft gun,
but the department stopped doing so recently after a teacher was upset by it.
What the fuck?
Make them scream, scare the others.
"if you traumatize them a bit now, they will become resistant to trauma later!"
Building up an immunity to real bullets I see
what the fuck?????
i love this country
What a bunch of morons. They probably weren't wearing any eye protection either, so they're lucky no one lost an eye.
As someone who's been shot by airsoft guns, that shit really hurts. Especially if your shot in an area where your muscle moves in any way like near a joint. And the welts are painful as fuck cant imagine why they would need to do it at close range of all places
America is fucking wild I feel like I live inside a cartoon sometimes
It's fucking weird here in Indiana, even more so in Northern Indiana.
Now imagine living in this state..
Central here. Help.
I'm genuinely surprised my old high school didn't partake in this. It actually had the ranking of the safest in the state last time I heard (I have no idea how) but we always had some weird shit go on.
I remember them forcing us to put our locker contents, bags and jackets/coats in the hallway in a line twice a year so that police dogs could come through and sniff everything. That felt like a violation but compared to this, that was nothing.
Normally in the Northwest of the state, they would take the dogs around the school when doing a school shooter drill. Anyone not in a classroom or bathroom was detained and all the lockers sniffed out. And occasionally a student taken out in cuffs from the school when drugs were found.
I’m not too familiar with simulated mass shooting drills, but I’m fairly certain you’re not supposed to fucking injure the participants on purpose. If by “execution style” they mean point blank, you’re not supposed to shoot people with airsoft guns at point blank even WITH protective/safety gear, and we don’t even know what they were wearing for protection (probably the bear minimum if they were going for realism).
I never said it was a good idea, but I bet it's what they were doing.
To prepare them for when the cops are too scared to go in during a real active shooter situation.
Beatings will continue until morale improves.
