Tim Sweeney: Epic will continue to sign exclusives already on Steam

I cant think of any other reason other than some kind of deep subconscious resentment of Valve over Half-Life because nothing else makes sense. Criticizing Steam is one thing, it has obvious flaws, but trying to tear it down to prop up this? Why?
A lot of those people already believed that something vaguely positive would happen if Valve started feeling pressure from a competitor because I guess in their mind any change where Steam is
concerned has to be good. Problem is this fantasy was never really entertained by GOG, Origin, Humble Bundle, Itch.io, etc, so they were all written off as too small and impotent to bring this change. But when they look at Epic's posturing and all the Fortnite money they're waving around they're impressed. To them EGS' product is that change they're expecting, the games are just a bonus.
The smaller distributors are getting hurt. So what? They always come and go anyway. This is just accelerating their inevitable death.
Steam "exclusives" are nothing but publishers being too lazy or not willing to release on other platforms.
I’m so tired and bored of lazy posts and shit like this
It's seano, what did you expect?
The only games you can call exclusives are games like Mass Effect 3 being on Origin.
Being a "Steam exclusive" just means devs choose only Steam as the DRM and distribution platform, which in turn, is used by everyone.
Epic on the other hand, is a Fortnite distribution machine, or was until it started buying out people.
The thing people refuse to get, is that the sole reason why Epic gets any games whatsoever, is because they're essentially bribing devs and publishers into using only their store for a whole year, and people eat it up because of pure fucking greed.
There's no such thing as Steam exclusives, the only ones that could be classified as that are Valve's own games, since they own the platform
