insert "Jokes on you, i was only acting retarded" here
If the joke was obvious, we'd have all understood it to be a joke.
Maybe work on your comedy then.
Go do a standup set, and when the crowd doens't laugh, you should call them out on it, and see how that goes.
Or just accept that sometimes a joke wasn't funny, and came from a stupid place?
But personal growth? That's for bitches!
Not really. I'm pretty sure she sucked his dick before marriage too.
But I guess I shouldnt have phrase the way I did, so sorry for offending/sounding like a dick. Let's drop that dick sucking part instead of escalating a one sided debate for pages like always.
It has nothing to do with the argument at hand. It's inflammatory.
All I'm saying is there's to be no more inflammatory comments from anyone in this thread
You're taking what we're saying too literally.
It costs about 4 dollars to feed a person for a day. That's $2,216,000 a day. 30 billion divided by that is 13,538 days, or approximately 37 years.
So she could feed every homeless person in America, provided the population was stable, for 37 years.
I feel the need to point out that it seems to be talking about the stock she received, 25% of the couple's joint ownership in the company. Worth about 35bn. She didn't get a check for 35bn. She probably got a boatload of money in the settlement but I can't see if that's disclosed.
“Happy to be giving him all of my interests in the Washington Post and Blue Origin, and 75% of our Amazon stock plus voting control of my shares to support his continued contributions with the teams of these incredible companies.”
She's giving up assets in order to divorce him. That Amazon stock was jointly owned between the two. Together they owners about 16% of Amazon stock and she gets a quarter of that, and forfeits all her other ownership to Jeff. She's gonna have to sell it off if she wants to do anything other than sit on it.
She'll own just 4% of Amazon worth 35bn, Jeff gets to keep 12% worth ~100bn and change.
The WaPo article is a bit more in-depth (surprise surprise)
https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2019/04/04/jeff-bezos-divorce-settlement-retains-percent-amazon-stock-he-held-with-his-now-ex-wife-mackenzie/
So she's really just getting 4% of a company she helped create from day one.
Lmao the fuck is going on in this thread
You're not "chill", you've done this multiple times. Get riled up in an argument, start cussing at people, and then say "I'm not even getting angry" when called out on it.
Take the mod's advice. People say stupid shit here all the time, don't stoop down to their level and start telling them to shut up.
No hostility - Don’t post in anger. If something riles you up, take a few moments to compose your thoughts before replying.
It's just asinine for me to even try and tell people when I'm angry or not.
Swearing isn't the give away for rage or anger.
You guys know just giving homeless people houses isn't going to fix the problem right
But it sure is a great way to fucking start
seattle sucks
Honestly, you're right. But, I mean...they'd still at least have a house, which is better than their current situation.
Actually no it totally can. You'd be amazed at how giving people stability can help them become productive members of society.

Because he gained his mass wealth from abusing labor and people? And the fact that he's worth well over 30,000 times more than most citizens, which is a number that if it doesn't raise eyebrows, I can't help you.
