a larger sum? where the hell are you going to get the economic base from that when the middle class is crippled and continues to shrivel up? you can't build a healthy society on the basis of having 90% of the population being poor and sitting around having nothing to do and rather than proceed into this blindly, why not do something to moderate the pace of change and find ways to help people adapt instead of allowing corporations to impoverish and bankrupt the bottom half before bitching to the government to introduce minimum incomes in order to maintain a consumer base? all a minimum income does is subsidize corporations under the guise of helping people
