yea you're right. the electromagnetic waves caught are still electromagnetic waves just like light and we humans just happened to evolve with a sight for visible light so i shouldn't care, but that's just hard to do. that's why i said "call me spoiled"

thats terrifying
The accretion disc wild be blindingly bright to the point where you'd be unable to look at it if you happened to be at a distance where you could see it.
look man i'm a human being, i want to see pretty shiny things and not think about it too hard
We can't get a visible light image - the surrounding dust and gas blocks it all, whereas radio waves can pass through.
Did they take the picture with an Android phone? lmao

Do you understand the concept of lightyears? 53 million of them is kinda a ridiculous distance.
i get that film is expensive but they really should've focused the lens and taken another one this one is really blurry
Something that may be of curiosity to add: the recent visual recreations showing the light bending that way are very close to the first simulation made 40 years ago by Luminet. https://i.imgur.com/Pc3NaBv.jpg
Out of curiosity how much smaller is Sagittarius A compared to it?
Yeah recover your failed joke with an insult, good idea
40 years ago? Damn, they were on point.

Coincidentally jokes often go over poorly when the person making the joke has a history of making stupid as fuck posts too. Hm, I wonder which is actually the case here...
