• JUUL E-Cigarettes Vaping Causes Cell Damage, According to New Research

When I was in highschool we had those one-way e-cigs without any nicotine in them, they basically were glorified candy That was in like 2013/14 though.
The neurotoxicity only really occurs at rather high doses, at least that's my understanding of it, anyway. The only real benefits to nicotine I know of (besides relaxation for some people, I guess) is that in low doses it actually improves fine motor control, working memory, short term memory and focus. Lots of people use low dose nicotine gums and patches for studying, taking exams, or anything that would benefit from increased memory recall and improved fine motor skills. So there are some beneficial aspects of nicotine, but for most people the potential nootropic effects are outweighed by the risk of addiction, vasoconstriction, etc. Though nicotine itself is hardly the most dangerous aspect of smoking tobacco, to be fair. Also: That's not true at all
Holy fucking Christ is that true? I got nicotine poisoning from swollowing my nicotine gum and that's still not even that much. Jesus fuck that's just dangerous.
Yeah, I hear radio ads for Juul all the time where I live. They're specifically marketed as a transition away from cigs, but they only end on the typical sped-up "thisproductcontainsnicotinenicotineisanaddictivechemical." No mention anywhere in the ad or on any packaging or online storefront that a juul pod is supposed to be the equivalent of a shitload of cigarettes.
