I have no fucking idea who the fuck says "eat the food that's already in the fridge" to someone fiscally struggling and isn't intentionally being a twat. WHERE DO YOU THINK THAT FOOD COMES FROM?
They're not out of touch, it's intentionally creating outrage because people will then talk about them. It's free publicity.
Having a middle class wage isn't that great either when everyone nickle and dimes you until you're only taking home 45% of what you made.
I'm in two minds about this. Depends on your earnings. I normally buy a coffee every day, but I am saving plenty too. If I didn't earn enough then I wouldn't buy the coffees. Obviously, you're an idiot if you do this (as well as other non essentials) and then still complain you're broke.
The other big thing is that we pay mostly with card. Paying with cash hurts a lot more.
What an absolutely douchy tweet, if it were coming from a single person I'd ignore it, but coming from a company that literally had the government save their ass with millions of dollars is just petty as fuck. These executives probably have people bring them coffee and food every day for sure, whereas the people they're demonizing (Their customers) probably don't have time to brew coffee and make food. They might have kids or some other imposition that leads to them having to buy coffee or food from a store, Chase is the last bank I'd deal with after this nonsense. If they think the world is as simple as it was 50 years ago, then their gonna fail again, I just hope that when they do our government doesn't bail them out again. What the hell even prompted this tweet? Did someone instigate this or is their PR/Social media team that dense to not expect a backlash?
