That chapter is over but it was vital for these allegations of pedophilia to be revealed. There's no point coming back to it now since Heidi is divorced and is probably going to live much more happily then she was. Unless something in the future forces her to be brought back into, there's no point discussing the early days of the drama anymore.

to the extent that this is accurate (I haven't tracked this beat for beat), it's fine to discuss the infidelity. but after the child abuse allegations surfaced all of the dumb back-and-forth white knighting and "holly is a horrible homewrecker!" is beyond stupid.
affairs happen. big fuckin whoop. that's like giving a shit about [random tabloid celebrity]'s affair with [other random tabloid celebrity] when one of them was soliciting child pornography.
People give a shit because the systematic mental and emotional abuse of a person for a time eventually resulting in cheating and gaslighting "friends" and the internet about it is a story worth telling from the person who suffered it. Maybe it's just my bias from having been through a relationship very much like that but it's nice to have people believe you and actually care when you have been put at the bottom of everyone's lives including your own for over a year.
Not to mention it wasn't anyone's idea to put this out there other than the cheater himself who, thanks to said treatment and blocking without even soliciting permission, forced a response to tell the story. It's almost like people can care about multiple things at once, for multiple reasons, even personal like mine, and that will help to paint a bigger picture of who this person is and what they did.
Trying to paint a huge portion of the story that encompasses such abuse and mistreatment as throwaway tabloid trash is mega insulting.

You've got one person who people looked up to as a supporter of women's rights, who turned out to be an emotionally manipulative cheater who abused his wife.
You've got another person who has always been big on mental health awareness and was looked up to as inspiration in the face of depression, who lied and cheated on her husband while also knowingly destroying her friend's relationship.
A lot of people looked up to these two, including people who have been abused, and people suffering from depression and other ilnesses. When those people turn out to have acted completely against what they preach, they have betrayed those who looked up to them as role models.
The underage nudes are a much more serious problem in my opinion, but acting like the the other problem doesn't exist is dumb.

I'm sorry to hear you went through a situation like this. I have too, and I know it's not fun. That's where my bias comes in for this situation: I'm fully exposed to how destructive emotional abuse in a relationship can be, same with affairs.
I'm not intending to say whatsoever that emotional abuse is fine. I don't know the details regarding ProJared's mistreatment of Heidi. If there's emotional abuse and mistreatment independently from the affair, that absolutely needs to be handled.
I haven't seen any information relating to the nexus between the affair and the alleged emotional abuse. Only that an affair occurred, that Holly was an active participant in the affair and told ProJared to leave Heidi. Is there more information that links the affair itself to emotional abuse?
