IIRC Anthony Burch massively abused his ex-wife in a similar manner by forcing her into an open relationship she did not want so he could look elsewhere for sex elsewhere because he felt like she wasn't providing enough.

I'm thinking "aight, whatever." Fast-forward a few months, I happen to be friends with said GF and went to a fair with her. We ended up talking about her relationship with her boyfriend and I casually mentioned their "open relationship." Her response was "...What open relationship?"

Why would you be hoping for a redemption arc? The type of redemption he needs takes years of introspection and self-inprovement. Most likely some pyschological intervention. Yeah, that's one of the parts where ProJared's claims seem really suspicious. He's making the claim that Heidi encouraged an open relationship and encouraged him to pursue other women, and specifically that she encouraged him to go after Holly - a woman that both parties knew was already married to Ross. Am I really supposed to buy on faith alone that Heidi took part in the destruction of Ross' marriage?

Furthermore, if Heidi immediately reacted so poorly to the Holly/Jared thing, then he should've immediately shut it down. An open relationship doesn't mean that you can just pursue somebody else and damn the torpedoes if your partner objects. He's trying to paint it like it was all unfair to him, that she had other partners in the open relationship (which we can only assume he agreed to since he was taking part in this whole affair) but that he got unfairly maligned for going after Holly. Again, an open relationship isn't a free pass to pursue and fuck whoever you feel. There's still mutual consent at play, and if one party objects you should end it.

I think the fallout from what happened with him (lost a lot of sponsors and friends) was good enough punishment. He may be making a comeback but he's on thin ice. And as fucked up as it is to say, while he said some fucked up shit he didn't actually harm anyone on the level that soliciting nudes from minors does.

ProJared groomed minors. ProJared engaged in the distribution of child pornography. Jesus Christ. I don't care how much racist shit some other YouTuber spouts. ProJared has had an actual harmful impact on the lives of minors and people need to stop downplaying that. I don't know what point you're trying to make, but it probably isn't worth it in the face of what ProJared has done.

People just seem to be awfully willing to forgive youtubers. Jon recovered from supporting nazis, PewDiePie never even lost anything for supporting nazis, those CSGO lotto guys were literally running a rigged gambling scam out of their channels and people still watch them. At this point the only thing I've seen a YouTuber do that actually caused a serious long term decline in their viewership was run for MEP in UKIP.

Okay so your actual point becomes clear and I just have to say: massively inappropriate dude. There's a time and a place to drop zingers about dead controveries, and it's definitely not when actual child porn is involved. Maybe at first, comparing it to Jon's abysmal statement was more or less fair because Jared's was just seen as unfaithful. Some would say it was worse than adultery and was mostly just e-celeb drama. Now it's not even comparable. Dude's rotten at the core and even now, he still can't take responsibility for his actions and fuck off. Jon apologized, took the L and went under the radar for months. He was basically forgotten by anyone except some of the fans that decided to give him a last chance and I'm sure he's fully aware of this very fact. No one would be giving a fuck about Jon if it wasn't for his previous association with Normal Boots and by extension, Jared. He probably only took a jab at Jared because people brought him into it. Jon's not flawless but he was adult enough to get out of the public eye unlike dickhead over there trying to gaslight his ex-wife for his disgusting and manipulative decisions. Don't get me wrong tho. What Jon said soured his content forever to many, many fans out there, including myself. Most of them just decided to stay, keep it under the rug for now since Jon isn't advocating or pushing a racist agenda but rather create content to be enjoyed like before his controversial blabber.
